So Finally had a day off work to do some thing to the car. Hot ass day to paint shit. Got the rear panel painted black with flake, and the miata badge blue flake. Got the rims painted gloss black with a ton of flake! Got the cage painted Green, and some other misc things painted. *i.e. chrome door handles and roof mounts.

I don't know dude...it is startin' to look a little ricer to me. Don't do it. Take the spacers out from between the hood and the hinges too. I do like the black filler panel though.

owengt 07-21-2010 04:27 AM

i like it when people are brave as thier cars are the ones that stand out but there is a fine line between awesome and what we in england like to call chavs. but im likeing it all atm apart from bonnet raisers

Nagase 07-21-2010 05:05 AM

Seriously man, you need a lot more car to pull of lime green. Check out thesnowboarder's build.

Hood risers: Form fail + Function fail = 100% fail

What's with the black fender? Your car is just way too busy. If you're keeping the PacMan thing, i'd keep the rest low key.

NA6C-Guy 07-21-2010 05:54 AM

You do realize removing that rear panel is only a few nuts and bolts and you could have painted it correctly, off the car? Are those green caps on the wheels? :ugh2:

iwanagofast 07-21-2010 10:04 AM

hell yea I am a ricer! pacman is coming off and the car is going white. Center caps are also being painted black, I was just trying it to see what they look like.

after all its just paint ;)

and I have to space the hood up, when it makes my temps drop a noticable amount I don't care what it looks like.

Hmm I dont know what they tell you over at CR.net, but raised hood mad JDM tyte yo! does NOT lower the temperatures of the engine bay. Au contraire it raises them as the cowl area is a high pressure zone; thereof you're impeding the flow from the front travel trough the engine.

If you want functionality do an extraction vent i.e the Mini cooper scoop backwards.

I can respect that. As it was just pointed out raising the hood restricts air flow at the radiator.

iwanagofast 07-21-2010 03:08 PM

well then, my megasquirt must be lying to me and my stock gauge must be lying as well!

Nagase 07-21-2010 03:13 PM

Made this for Flounder, but it works here too:

You know what that means... Turn the boos up.

iwanagofast 07-22-2010 02:28 AM

anyways off the my jdm non functioning hood to other issues.

I have not been able to hit more than 2lbs so far, so I thought it was the exhaust manifold gasket. Tonight I took it all apart to check and it all looked fine. I take a look at my boost controller and I had a nasty leak coming through it so I just ran the vaccum line from source to wastegate. I go for a test drive and the car still only hits 2lbs..

I am going to go over all my intercooler piping tomorrow and check it out.. my only other guess would be intake manifold gasket... and I have heard those are fun to replace. Anyways, if you guys have any ideas i would appreciate it!

owengt 07-22-2010 02:57 AM

to succesfully remove heat from the engine bay you need to have an open that creates a vacuum (some sort of reverse scoop) but you must also have a good supply of cold air to replace that other wise the vacuum inside the engine bay will end up greater than the passing air outside can create passing over the vent and then the hot air is trapped. i have heat issues as the bonnet on my car has a scoop for a top mount i/c but i have now put on a fm and the air going in that scoop traps the hot air

iwanagofast 07-22-2010 12:06 PM

Thats cool, I guess my situation is special.. or like I said... my megasquirt and stock temp gauge must be incorrect. Whatever the situation I guess I am lucky because this pointless space has actually worked... go figure!

Must be nice to live in a world where fluid dynamics and physics don't apply.:bowrofl:

As far as your boost issue goes, do some more digging. What kind of turbo are you using and is it spinning freely??

Nah mang his coolant temp dropped. JDM tyte hood even changed the point at which his thermostat opens and fans kick on.

Hypertownville?

Anyway, gives a log or something to work with. Also make sure that your wastegate is functioning. Check couplers, vac lines, and all that bs... the report back. Once again post a log too.

1. Your roll cage is actually not a cage at all, its a roll bar.
2. Nice touch with the green bar, but i don't you can pull it off.
3. Your retarded.

obviously if you can read signs through a window correctly and chicfilet on the other side of the street is in reverse, the image has been flipped.

Nah mann, that car is just JDM mad tyte and RHD! Also, businesses usually have their hours of operation displayed so they face the inside of the store.

Wrong:

1. In an Apple store.
2. The picture was flopped, unless the apple store really wants to advertise the signs and hours to the people already inside.

Edit: Double beaten to the punch while typing. :(

I will call it a cage all I want you retard!

I also edited your post so number 2 makes sense... silly :giggle:

I will post a log tonight, I am going to check the wastegate flapper arm tonight as well and go over all the piping. I have the greddy td04 kit. I think I am getting my hands on a pressure tester as well. The weird thing is I still pull 21 vac at idle, so it doesn't seem like a boost leak until you try to hit boost.

Someone verify this, I heard if you spray starter fluid around the intake manifold with the car running and it revs up it means you have a leak there.

number 1 is wrong, we are not a apple store. number 2 it was taken from a webcam on a macbook so thats the way it was facing making it look reversed.

buffon01 07-22-2010 03:43 PM

By the last two posts you made, you have corroborated thesnowboarder's third statement. Good luck geting help being a CRtard. BTW you can call your car a Bugatti, but it wont make it one. That is a R-O-L-L B-AAAAAA-R NOT a cage.

Seems all the apple stores around my area employees seem to have at least common sense. Something this guys lacks entirely. Can't speak for other areas though.

Emphasis on YOUR area. Job profiling went down the drain a while back. Shit, look who's The President O_o

lol... you are right, because of the way I act on the internet and because of the colors I put on my car that means that I lack all common sense. There isn't a face palm big enough for your logic right now.

Don't be upset that the man without common sense had to add a word into one of your points.

I will take some tonight when I have the dp off. It is nothing special.. just the gay ass greddy td04.

steven17 10-21-2010 10:35 PM

sorry this is a little late but did you ever find out what was wrong with your boost? I think it could be the boost gauge line fittings.
