Grrrrrrrr.....

"I can't get it to crank" = the motor is not turning over at all.

"I can't get it to start" = your problem.

Get it right!

Maybe it's a regional thing, but here: "crank the car" means to "start the car". Dictionary.com recognizes this under definitions 12 and 13. Crank | Define Crank at Dictionary.com

Anyway, the car is turning over, it will not start.

Thanks man. It's killing me not being able to get it running.

It's sparking, plugs are coming out covered in fuel, I've checked timing like 12 times, megasquirt is reading MAP, AIT, TPS, and tach. I'm lost at this point and just keep trying the same crap.

If anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear them. This is a '99 motor in a '94, maybe I missed something but pretty sure I moved everything over I need.

I don't think that's it, it was working fine when I pulled the '94 motor and I'm still getting tach signal on the MS.

By crank do you mean start or turn over?

Curly bribed you to say that didn't he? lol.

The car turns over, the starter is working great, but is currently operating under 100% electric power.

I took a video:

I've pulled a plug and watched it spark. The plugs come out wet with fuel, the pistons are wet when you look down the cylinders. I'm running the same tune that was on the car with the stock motor (same injectors, fuel pump, same cops, same ecu, 1mm bigger bore motor, 99 head vs 94 head, gtx2867 vs gt2871 turbo). I initially added 5% fuel to it, then put it back to the original tune, then pulled 5% fuel nothing has made a difference. I've tried turning the CAS forward and backward since base timing isn't set yet but nothing seemed to make any change.

Have you checked all the plugs for spark or just one?

Seriously, I've said several times that it's sparking, getting fuel, and reading a tach signal, do you really think it would be doing that if the motor wasn't turning over? Your acting just like all the pre-pubescent ricers on the civic forum I had a questions on several months ago.

From what I've posted, several times, I would think it should be pretty clear what is going on. If you need me to clarify something, I'll be happy to do so, but it would certainly appear that you have absolutely no intention of providing anything constructive to this thread whatsoever and just want to tear me down and try to make me look like an idiot. I'm no mechanic, I'm just trying to get my car running.

I just checked #1, I'll check the others when I've got a helper. Thank you for a constructive idea. It's a great joy when someone on this forum isn't going out of their way to be a raging douchebag.

Is your coolant temp sensor reading in megasquirt? IAT sensor hooked up and reading correctly?

Sorry to see it not starting after all this. You'll get it! Can't wait to see some videos of this thing, i miss your old NA.

Set the base timing from -10 to 10, then check timing mark on crankshaft with a timing light when turning it over and adjust your CAS to get it right. It will at least let you know if you are 180 degrees out or something weird like that.

Double check cam alignment. I and E backwards?

The NB doesn't use a crank sensor mounted on the oil pump, right? But the '94 harness is expecting one... I dunno but I'm guessing at things to check.

Is the spark strong or weak? Ground wires for block and for MS really good? Coil wires or coil harnesses mixed?

Re-calibrate TPS? Set flood clear. Try cranking with flood clear and see if it sputters and tries to run. See if plugs are wet or dry.

Too much pre-start injector pulse?

Got compression? If cam timing is off, compression will be weird. I'm stabbing at things in the dark here.

Checked this morning and they all look strong to me:

I would think so, but it could just be from trying to get the car running, miikeec mentioned that it could be a bad FPR. I'm hoping I can find one locally to borrow and see if that could be the issue.

Thanks man. Just checked, IAT and CLT are both reading the correct temps.

judging by the sparks, i can tell you're not syncing properly. you're missing an event on a pattern, you can see it skip 1 and 4 twice in that video. I'm assuming you dont have the trigger wheel setup correctly.

what are you using for the tach input? the NA CAS? What tach input circuits are you using?

post the logs and file i requested.

NA CAS and NB CAS are different.

Also, don't NA and NB throttle bodies deal with IAC differently?

Whoaaa, what? I didn't think '94s had a crank sensor and the '99s did? Hopefully I didn't screw that up.
