I am a poor steward of my build thread. Work has been done. Pictures have been taken. Posting is sporadic. In the last year I have finished the trans tunnel and firewall work. I have handed it over to Renderos Racing to do some stuff that I don't have the tools for (or the space for the tools.) So here we are...
Some pictures of stuff Alex is doing. I decided to let him set up the trans and diff mounts, do the intake and exhaust, roll bar and safety related stuff, set up the steering, and redo anything of mine that he thinks is suspect.
Didn't have this on my bingo card this week either. I stumbled across your IG earlier this week and thought I read that you'd put the build on hold some time ago. Glad to see it's still moving! After seeing so many of these engines in mustangs and explorers, it's wild seeing one in this engine bay haha.
Also super cool that you're reusing the mustang center console. You're gonna use the mustang instrument cluster as well, right?
The plan is to use as much of the Mustang as I can. I kept most of the electronics, minus the lights and power steering. So yes to the dash and center console. I will try to get the ABS to work too. I need to send the PCM out for PATS delete so I can disable the various unused modules as needed. I have a tuning device (I can't remember which one, but not the Cobb.) It should give me access to everything and I can buy a canned tune for it.
I am somewhat tempted to try and print a PPS-CF intake for it. The OEM is not doing me any favors with packaging. But our printer is marginal for this material. Bed and chamber won't get to the recommended temperatures. Hot end just barely will. And that stuff is expensive if it doesn't work.
