Default TX 01 NB FM 2560 kit, drift/street car build!

hello guys,

I will start out with current pics of the car, it has been through a lot in the past year. I picked it up from a friend with a blown motor, already had the FM kit on it, but other than that was stock.

Found an 01 motor online for a decent price, bought it and started to go to work... the car looked like it was previously put together by 4 year old children, and was in need of a little TLC!

Anyways, spent about $200 on bolts, and nuts, random lines, hoses, fittings, etc, got all the little issues sorted.

car is a

2001 nb 99k on chassis
hardtop
FM voodoo kit, 2560rs with front mount
big aluminum rad
2.5" exhaust, dump after axle
bc racing coilovers
racing beat sway bar f
fm sway bar links
spl tie rod ends
tein inner tie rods
spl rear upper control arms
hard dog roll bar
sparco evo 2 seat
grip royal wheel
nrg short hub and quick release
pioneer deck w/ Bluetooth
ample 400x4 amp
8" polk subs in door
1.5" infinity tweeters

right now the car is running with the FM VOODOO BOX on stock injectors, using the static timing retard, at about 4* retarded. wastegate pressure creeps up to 6-7lbs and with aem wideband shows 12.0ish at redline WOT full boost on 93 octane, (FM box is maxxxxxed out and injectors)

NEXT UP

MEGASQUIRT!
BIGGER INJECTORS
TUNING
MORE POWEEERRRRR

i'm having a weird vacuum issue on start up. When I first start the vehicle, the vacuum goes to -20 on the gauge, but then slowly starts to creep up to almost 0 as the engine runs worse and worse and sounds like the turbo is spooling up, then, if I blip the throttle for a second, it will go back to normal. Only does this once upon start up, but then will happen occasionally while driving when I come to a stop. maybe a vacuum leak is what i'm thinking. on the pass side engine bay, I still have the map sensor and the other sensor attached to it, but my EGR is blocked, and VTCS on the intake is not hooked up.

Nice car you have there, albeit with too much camber, wheel poke, and a spoiler that doesn't fit your hardtop .

Seriously though, sounds like you are on the right path considering the MS and all. Good job on that. You are well on your way to some real power.

Seriously, that is a good looking car. Even the retro looking wheels seem to match it.

Now work on your grammar.

vacuum issue... vaccum line to the box and gauge is getting pinched. Look behind your clutch pedal.

Default Rims

Hey man thats an awesome looking miata. I was wondering if you knew the spec of your rims. I was also wondering if you could post a picture of the front of the car. The look is intriguing but I cant figure it out because it's too dark on the other pics. Good luck on the build. Cant wait to see progress.

good job bumping a year old post from a guy who only has four posts. I'm going to guess you get no response.

BUT SINCE I AM A NICE GUY:

Front is mostly stock with maybe a lip spoiler and blacked out headlight reflectors. He also added those whizbang vents to the hood.

As for the wheels...

but seriously they are probably Rota Grid Concave.
