Default MSM in the Brain

Hi,

Decided, after owning 6 different miatas over the last 10 years, it was time to make some sort of build thread. Documented to the best of my ***** given.

So here I am with #6. The virgin MSM I shall sacrifice for the better of my manhood.
(Sorry no virgin pics available) FFSeveral weeks:
Will you just look at that. 4 years of hibernating collecting debri and idk wtf. I cleaned it up a little before this picture, I'm sure.

Scouring the best place to car shop(CL)I found several MSM's for around 6-10k. This 04 Ti ---- was listed for $6500 and a 103k on the ****, 100% Stock. Curious I went to "check it out". Ofcourse, there's a catch. It had an unkown amount of back fees due to not being registered for 4 years. I know miatas enough I schooled the guy, respectively and in aboout 45 minutes I gave him $3300, and DMV $600. For a wopping total of $3900 smackeroos!

Driving it away. It wobbled like a 2 year old on skates. The car sat for uh, 4 fuckn years. Hardly moved. The owner(I am the third) had tough times. Kept it at a shop when he divorced yada yada. Someone made the tread disappear on the tires, and they were flat as a pancake. The syrup was the OEM wheels were far out of balance with at least one noticeble bend, the brakes were ab so ******* lootly shot. Engine bay dirty like my *** crack around 10 am. Luckily the maintenance on the thing that makes it go was up to snuff. It had a spankin new deka battery, started right up. Drove it 15 miles "home" to my shop, that was exciting.

Overall interior was flawless, perfect for my dog to **** up. The exterior was purrty good, but down the road I noticed several body panels, didn't quite match. Looked as if someone replaced them with SE parts. Similar but if you are not too high, you'll catch it
Underneath was very dry and clean. Except for the god damn black widows!
-So piderman would show up during my upcoming maintenance and rabbit hole of buying parts, scarying the **** out of me a couple times. I never did kill that mother fkr. And even a year later his *** strings are still splat around the gas tank.

So here we have it. A few weeks in and I in'd with some new, and out'd with some old.
Immediately after, I replaced the bog solenoid, diy style. AEM short ram(with intentions to buy the BEGI/BT Cool Air Box, but keep the CARB sticker from the AEM kit- 'MERICA.

Techincally the CSF Supermiater Rad is installed but the intake came first, he always does that.

So I still have my #2 Miata, a NA6 that I spent alot of time learning on, and modding. With dead ends and loss of motivation, and gaining new desire, I began to steal parts of my NAsix starting with the Supermiata Radiator. Stated "does not fit MSM" Emilio, sh, it fit. With a little can't go back cutting to the OEM MSM fan shroud, wa fuckn la. No more crusty the crab radiator ready to puke it's guts.

NRG Diversion panel
Custom supermiata hood prop, Magnecore 8.5mm, 12v convience terminal tapped off main fuse. Thrown together, brake Master brace. The silicone vacuum/boost hoses are from the wonderful mishimot wrx silicone hose kit I bought. literally has given me sooooo many small formed hoses, I have used them on multiple vehicles, money well spent.

Put some gold **** to hopefully cut down on some heat(backside of shield as well). Foam to help seal, and look like ***.

Next.
Well with more air, you need exhaust. So I "muffler deleted", meh. 3" Enthuza Mid Pipe. Grabbed the resonator off my crashed STI'd Bugeye, a couple mexicans, a J pipe, and some welds. And viola 3" resonated cat back. I really needed that FM downpipe. Sweet baller, $8 magnetic billet drain plug from trailgear or Lowrange. I use these on the transexuals too.

Midpipe ending flange, cut and rotated to bend passenger side instead of driver side, much better floooooww.

With all of this fun stuff, comes maintenance. With 105k on the **** I decided, better do that timing belt. So I really ******* did that timing belt:
Brand new Gates Blue, destroyed by unfaithful tensioner spring. It was a once used, new oem spring. Never ever, will I ever never remove the spring once timing is set. Piece of mind so this doesn't happen. Oh, before you get smart. I now know they are throw away parts(one time use). I only put 500-1000 miles on that timing job. Doing it twice so soon is so much fun...At least I stole my Supermiata dampner off my na6.

But once they pop , the fun don't stop!

So I got the FM downpipe. Nice. Except it lasted about 2k miles, if that. Before the CAT decided to break off. Great. Did I mention?:

From common loose manifold stud/nut, to lemme just try and tighten dis bitch. To god damn mother fkr!

I love the MSM,but I also don't like lot's of it's stuffs:
MOMO v35 Steering wheel
Sparco Crushable Hub w/ t3 75mm spacer in polished, then bed linered.
AMS Evo Delrin ****
& some eclipse vents to finsh er!
I guess the scosche mag phone mount too.

If you are not retarded. You probably noticed I got rid of the MSM seats. Yeah, I don't like the 40 year old single male vibe they give. Sold for tree fiddy, and some boring surboards. The MSM seats are noice. But have that factory rice appeal I don't like. Doors soon to go most likely, though I do like them. They gotta go lol.

So After an Intake and Exhaust. Ebay interfooler. Installed with bumper still on. Who keeps AC in a convertible. NOT me. Ocalifornia ruless
NUE MSM lip Splitter. End pieces are separate. You have the option of the small integrated spats or the larger add ons.
My Main Man Adrian(nephew) test fitting and giving it the official approval.
So as usual, my indecisiveness kicks into gear, and I buy this 1990's Nardi Classic 360mm Suede. Yikes, way better in my buddies 1j Cressida. Slippery as hustlers *** on friday nights. Went right back the 90's Momo v35. Much betters
So I am one of the few that thinks all Miata seats suck. I always liked the look of the Lotus seats. Found these on Ebay, and local, for $1180 bones. Drove a couple hours round trip. Helped remove out of sponsored, all Carbon Lotus. They are minty. Flipside custom bracket to hold er down.
Jetstream knows what's up. Simpler street warrior aero in progress. Fitment is super oem. I am still amazed at jetsreams quality. Oh and some discontinued TSW Rifle, 15x8 et +25 Rotary Forged. Continental EXTREME!! CONTACT BRO! Watch out popo! They are heavy, but lighter then the 17's I yanked off. But not nearly as light as the Konig x8 Flatouts I had on first.

So, remember that broken exhaust stud?
Well since mazda makes you remove everything...in order to pull the manifol. Studs face opposite from Mani to Turbo
I went ahead and yanked the motor. After removing all the turbo components lol. Idiot. I did so because BNR 16g Turbo was going in! But honestly, the rear pan seal had failed and I was leaking oil anytime the level reached the seal. All the time. I also don't like the 6 speed. and I have a NB 5speed with Quaife Gearset from my NA6.

Ended up replacing CAM seals, again, as one was not seated correctly, annnnd leaking. Bought a new OEM MSM Oil drain tube $$ but better then all my attempts at a custom drain. New rear main and pan seals. New rear neck gasket, new ECT sensor, reposition IGN Condenser to fit FM BIg SPark Bracket kit. EGR dele

So what started as I need to fix things, quickly turned into I need to modify ALL OF IT.
Radium Dual rail. Plumbing kit intended to utilize OEM single feed line, wouldn't fkn work, so I had to spend more dollars and get 60* fittings to clear the vics actuator rod, and plumb the rail into Dual Feed. Rx8's installed(had them from years ago) later replaced with I.D 725.

Purchased a Mocal plate, got a ebay ******* looking, setrab supplied plate. Via fab9. Fab9 took care of it, not to quickly, but redeemed himself by sending me the new Setrab Hyperflow plate. I do not want to keep the OEM oil temp referee. Starter hit Oil plate fittings. nO worky

fixed:

Reclocked . IMO this routing is sufficient. IM brace will be raped by my cutting fetish. And reinstalled. **** the OEM oil temp referee.

Oil cooler -10an hose routing for top feed solution. Fire sleeved. All contact points are protected with edging. Hoses are free to move with no preloaded stress. Radiator stay/support trimmed a little to allow hoses to snake past TSE Radiator
Brand new Throttle cable, Moroso Expansion Tank.

Brainzfab radiator brackets! Bedliner spray of course.

Oil Cooler line route, koyo 10 row -8orb oil cooler/shroud:

Hopefully this works out. Originally the shroud looked like this but then I bought the TSE IC and it would not fit lol:

What's left of my wasted time:

I.L Motorsports STS...A+..oem bushings, seal boot, shifter looks to be stainless, stainless bolts, 2 gaskets. Delrin Tip bushing in place

Way better then the Ebay STS I had in this quaife wide 5.

Comes with a aluminum finishing piece for the rubber boot, actually makes the no console look acceptable. AMS Evo Delrin Shift ****, Delrin Ebrake Handle
Above is a Nardi Steering hub meant for NA. Jass Key Switch cover, and MOMO Mod 31 340mm

Spal 14" mounted to the TSE via Spal Brackets, shrouded with a frpCF sheet. Finished with a oem Ti grey Crown Nut lol

Hey, if you still want to swap the red door panels, I can trade you clean nb2 black panels, and cover shipping both ways. I like the red ricer panels. Lol.

Relocated oil psi/temp gauges to column, and that red button, do not press the red button! Kidding, it's my horn. No more (imo) ugly silver trim besides the cluster. The hvac trim was painted in my ***.

Now has -10an breathers including the filters, internal drain passage was already up sized, plan to port it out more though, outlet drill/tapped 14mm.
