that means your BOV wasn't setup properly and should still be concerning.

That location is superior to sticking it behind the (hot exchangers) radiator (with a smaller filter). You've got a factory outside air feed under the driver side headlight that's "feeding" your filter now. Move your wall of relays, flip the filter/intake and build a cold air box around it.

Congrats on the positive pressure. I agree the flutter is bad the sound you want is PSSSsssssT. it sounds like tour BOV doesn't open at all.

You guys were right.

The line fell off... Just put it back on and zip tied it. Hopefully all is well. I guess it's a good thing I was running really low boost and the setup has only seen a few miles. That would have sucked and would have made my thread title even more ironic. Gahdangit.

BOV is fixed and sadly the giggling flutter noises are gone. No harm no foul. Only ran it a few miles at 5-7 psi.

Now something else is leaking. I'm pretty sure it's oil from the turbo drain plug. Was the feed last time. WHYYYYYY!!!!?????

:(

I'm pretty sure it's the oil drain... I'm really hoping that I can confirm this and tighten it up tomorrow. Everything was working so well too :/

Le siggghhhhh

Pretttyyy sureeee the clampppp worrkkkeddd itselllllffff loooseeeeee!

I'm pretty sure it's just the clamp. I'll definitely double check the drain clamp tomorrow too. Possibly the feed line at the block as well, but I'm pretty sure that's not going anywhere.

Hard to tell from the pic, it might be loose???

LOL. I would put a clamp made for smaller diameter hose on that, looks like that one didn't bite too well.

Coming close though apparently... I took off the intake piping to get at the clamp and saw scratches on the inside of the turbo where the intake goes in.

Turns out it had gone in and was rubbing there. Needless to say I fixed that...

I think I have a coolant leak though. I keep filling up the reservoir only to find it empty. I'm going to get some of the UV dye ish so I can figure out what's going on. I have a spare stock radiator thanks to bytevenom so I can swap that over if that's what it turns out to be.

A coolant leak would usually be fairly evident by coolant on the street/ parking area. More likely you haven't properly bled your system and it's sucking in coolant when it cools down.

Do a proper bleed with the front raised as high as you can manage. I usually put jackstands fully extended under the A-arm supports. Run it for at least three fan cycles (I usually go about 15 minutes after engine is warmed up). Try again.

The other option is that your evaporating the coolant and it ends up as steam somewhere. If it's steam in your exhaust, that's bad.

Magic funnel with front in the air is how I burp my coolant.

Magic funnel was assumed automatically. RTC said before somewhere that he's using one IIRC.

That would imply head gasket, right?

I wasn't having any such issue a week ago and haven't had overheating issues other than one time when my CAS gave up the ghost but that was last summer, so I don't think that's the case since I've never had that issue since. Atleast I hope not...

This is basically what I look like when I wrench.

Luckily this didn't cause damage, but when I put it back in I made damn sure that there wasn't any contact there. Stupid intercooler piping :/
I think I have a piece of delrin I can fit there to avoid this, but I'm not sure it has the clearance to fit. I wonder if I can reclock the turbo to have the outlet facing 10-12 o clock. Should give me way more room.

But you seriously should go through the hole behind the driver's headlight, even though I didn't.

I am a special case, I'm a lefty, don't follow my bad example.
