CR: form > function

MT: function > form

It doesn't matter what it is or looks like. If it is not lighter/stronger/faster/more reliable, then it is gonna get some hate. But we hate because we love.

That should be the official Mt.net credo

I'm pretty sure this whole website runs on hate and repressed homosexuality.

Edit: I'd also like to remind you that you put "Come at me bro!" in the thread title

I know I'm not taking too much offense, been on the internet long enough to know that there will always be criticism, and if you guys knew me in person you would know I'm not some ricer p.o.s. This is my first true project car and I'm learning a lot. But I believe if we all tried to stay on the straight and narrow on these forums and not step on any feet all of our cars would be boring as ****!

Truth is i'm building the car for me, and I couldn't be happier with where its headed. I'm not happy with where its. I want to get some 6ULs and new rs3s, get the new engine and rotrex in and then I'll be at a good place.

Now VoM, if that car was painted one solid color, ditch the window sticker and had decent track wheels/tires it would look pretty good. He's close.

Thank you for the support. Thats what I was thinking
Except paint is added weight and doesnt help performance....... so I dont know if I'm going to paint it, im kidding..

I by no means think its right quite yet. I'm trying to figure out some track wheels but I can only afford what I can sell the BBS for. 6ULs are pretty low offset for flares, the 10s might fit but 245 is a lot of tire. any ideas?

Good luck with your build. I am sure it will be nasty or jolly good fun, depending on your location.

Update your profile so that it shows where you are from.

here's an idea - people who have flares do that to run 10" 6uls.
i'm mildly interested because in some distant future I will also probably have flares and will still run 8" wheels on street.

My only feasible option with 10" wheels is 245, which is toyo proxes. That would put killer load on my wheel bearings and not be too practical on the street? (only weekend driven however) I was planning on sticking with a 9in as its the best of both worlds, I could run a 225/45 with less sidewall flex than a 245/50. From the posts I've seen about 6uls the x9 with 225/45 how shown to be faster than the 8 with same tire. Hence I would prefer to stick with 9's with a low enough offset to be practical.

let me know your insight.

225/45 on 9 are fantastic but there aren't any 225/45 tires with threadwear above 140

but considering price, I'd rather be able to run a 225/45 hankook rs3 than a 245/50 toyo proxes r888 which are $200 more

Upon some pondering, once I sell the BBS RMs I'm going to look in to getting some x10 6ULs. There's no reason not to. You only gain .3 lbs over the 9's. 225's dont look too stretched, and I would only do this because Toyo Proxes 245s on the street will just wear away too fast.

I need to talk to emilio to see if I can test fit some x10s once I get my car back. go big or go home.

I use those exact same slugs in my motor:

I run 17 PSI and this is my timing map:

The car makes gobs of torque and power isn't detonation limited anywhere. Granted this isn't a pump gas motor but I DO like the idea of high compression and high boost.

How many miles do you drive a year? Keep in mind that RS3s are out of stock for like, half a year.

Jesus christ, my spark map needs a helmet and a bib when compared to this. I'm seriously down like 7-12 degrees on nearly every cell between 100 and 175kpa and I'm running 9.5:1 & 6psi

It's not a pump gas tune...PLEASE DO NOT!!!!!!! use that spark map, blow your motor up and blame it on me. That map is tuned for C16
