It was at 60 something when he first loaded the firmware but he turned it down to 31 after reading some threads

What is odd is that the car was running pretty well until he upgraded the firmware and then it wouldn't idle and just generally behaved strangely. Ryan said that new settings became more options and that old settings changed values .

For information purposes in case anyone else goes through the same thing:

Reverant built the frequency multiplier into all of his ms2extra ecu's so they use a multiple of 30.5hz. that is why my setting was at 31hz. I think the multiplier was part of the firmware though so the frequency needs to be adjusted to a normal frequency when the firmware is updated to the latest standard version.

The frequency multiplier is in the hardware, you should leave the frequency at 30.5Hz.

Ryan modified his breather setup.

The car has been back together and running for about 2 weeks. Vlad has been helping me tune the car. Which has been going well but not progressing as fast as I would have liked due to having to start over from scratch with my map due to the updated firmware reaking havoc on my settings. Good news is that so far there has been no oil coming out of the turbo. Hopefully that holds true once I start making some pulls.

When I was driving it around the neighborhood streets this weekend I noticed that the turbo induction noises are a lot louder now. Something is definitely different after it was rebuilt by Southeast Power Systems.

I'm glad to see things are progressing forward for you. How's that vented oil pan doing?

It seems to be operating as intended but I haven't really pushed the car yet. That is when we will really get to see.

Between that mess and planning my wedding, I haven't had time to mess with the car. This weekend is supposed to include more pulls and tuning. I think I should be able to get a virtual dyno graph from it now if nothing goes wrong.

I drove the car for about 5 hours total last weekend while tuning fuel and looking for signs of oil leaks from the turbo. Luckily there were no signs of oil leaks and I did get some clean pulls in that I have run through virtual dyno. These numbers are nothing spectacular but I am running just the wastegate at 14psi with a pretty conservative spark map and fueling that could still using some dialing in. I am going to be doing additional tuning over the next few weeks and will continue to post log data as I go. I am thinking of upgrading to MS3 to control VVT and better manage the alternator draw with AC. A flattop or skunk2 would also be nice to replace my shitty VTCS manifold.

So if I'm reading that correctly, you're ultra rich? 9.5:1 is cylinder wall washing territory.

You're looking at the wrong line. That's VD reading "boost" which it doesn't unless you go into the settings and update it to read properly.

He's running high 11's low 12's AFR, and about 15psi (wastegate pressure, no boost controller) right now. I'm e-tuning his car and just sent next revision/map based on his logs

Timing is conservative too because we're on pump gas and I don't take big steps when tuning a car across the country
I'm pretty sure we can hit 300, but after that he's gonna need:
1) a non-crappy IM
2) much more map sensor
3) really think about ms3+

What about the rich conditions between 6000 and 7000 rpm? Did you make the pulls during the Polk County drive, and if so compensate for the added weight?

Since you have an ATI damper, did you inspect it for incorrect clocking?

Default FWIW

Since I posted in this thread about WG setup, I have moved to the two port setup below and it made a significant improvement in spool over a single signal line to the lower/opening port on the WG. I'm using an Innovate SCG-1 EBC but the principle is the same. The controller keeps boost pressure at the top port until target and that added pressure helps keep the valve shut up to that point.

I made those pulls the day prior. I believe that area has been leaned out since then. I did have a passenger and their weight was accounted for in the VD log.
