Jinkies this thread came a long way since I last checked. Awesome build and the car is stupid fast.

I think my inlaws are from Turlok. We are going to be in that area (Greagle, Turlok, yosemite then off to SF) all to visit family and do some hiking this weekend and next week. Just funny as I have never heard of Turlok.

Beat down that Civic. GL.

Ryan,

is that civic owned by Darkside Racing?

PM or Text me if it is. Those homos play dirty. They hustled me and JT once.

ONCE!!

Wait Darkside racing?

They used to be on our Celica Board...we laughed them off of there, by making DeathStar racing avatars.

I will take a look but there were a few kids and older guys on that board that formed DarkStar racing at some point (with other cars also) in Cali with a few guys in Texas. Big Mouths...so naturaly they had to get made fun of.

I will check it out when we get home. Anyone of them have Celica All-Tracks or Supra's?

I have no idea, I have never met them. I went to In N Out on Friday and some guy said he has been "dying" to run me. When he finally showed up I asked if we were gonna run and he said yes. Go out to the spot and he flaked. Then it turned into I didn't show and blah blah blah. I was out there because that is where I ran the TA that night.

I PM'd you Vlad.

Don't do it. Even if you win, you probably won't see the money, and will most likely be hit with a **** ton of excuses.

I come in here and it is like Ryan TV. Brought back some good memories. What tire are you using in the above vids?

It has 205/50zr15 Toyo R888 on it. I had the car on the lift tonight and softened up the rear to try and get it to bite the tire in a little better instead of wheel hopping. Gonna go do a couple shakedowns tomorrow night to see if it helps.

It is real hard to get rid of the wheel hop using radials. A sure fire way to get rid of it is to use a set of slicks, and I mean a set designed for drag racing. It makes drag racing so much more fun, your 60' times will improve by a wide margin. I have lifted the left front wheel of the ground a few times with a set.

Except you did this on a prepped track, and he's attempting to do the same on a filthy oakland street

I used slicks during my street racing days for years. I had way more success with them over radials. The biggest problem with slicks was the fact that my opponents always whined about them and wanted me to give them lengths, moves, or both.

Oh, there are some safety issues with them that should be taken seriously. I tried to have a set of radials in a support vehicle just in case the weather turned against me, or if the 'deal' worked out better for me to use them.

No races tomorrow night. Will record it if he wants to take it to Sacramento Dragway.

Nothing exciting happening. Did get a new zinc platting kit though along with yellow chromate dye. I want to do all my suspension bolts. I tumbled everything but was stupid and didnt clear anything so it all rusted.

Here is testing it on one of my cheap sockets I carry in my car for the lug nuts.
