So I decided I wanted to start working on ducting this weekend. Saturday night I liberated a local political sign to use for ducting. Or at least for templates until I make some aluminum ones.

This morning on the other hand I went to drive the car to work and had no oil pressure. I spent all day hoping that it was just the connector to the sensor fell off. I checked this afternoon the connector was still on perfectly. I then unhooked the spark plugs and undid the vvt oil line and put it into a bottle. I then started cranking the car trying to build pressure. I got none and when I checked the bottle it had no oil in it. So I am guessing my oil pump died in some way shape or form. I will be calling Travis to order a new one in the next day or so.

Luckily he's noticed, "hey my oil pressure is lower than normal, I need to look into that." Then slowly but surely, he had zero. So I'm sure all is fine once he does something about the oil pump.

I am in contact with Travis at BE. I will be ordering a new oil pump sometime today or tomorrow. The motor will be coming out in the next few weeks. I will replace the oil pump with a new one. Then will probably replace all my bearings to be on the safe side. At the time I will also be doing a bit of other maintenance things. I need to replace my rear main seal. Also need to replace a few of the seals in the transmission. Hopefully get a trans temp sensor installed and hooked up.

So what are the odds I get my engine out, oil pump fixed, and engine back in before Failflora gets his car back on the road and then onto the dyno.

acutally, do you have the knock sensor on the NB block?

you should pick up the new knock module for your ms3 and wire that puppy in.

There is a better chance of Faeflora eating this:

Than dynoing his car.
