So I had wired the oil pressure sensor for the MS to the wrong wire on my TPS plug. Switched it to the correct 5v wire and I am building 18-20psi just cranking the motor with no spark plugs or injectors hooked up. So I am getting pressure. I think my stock sensor that goes to the gauge cluster is finally done. I can at least watch oil pressure in TS while I am breaking in the motor.

Car is idling. We are warming it up now and getting idle and tpsdot settings decent. Should be changing oil shortly then going to break in the motor. Oil pressure gauge in cluster is not working still after swapping to a different sender, but MS is reading it fine so will worry about that one later.

During engine braking for brake in it pulled down to 9kpa. I figure that is pretty good. The 3.63 gears make first and second gears actually usable with the 6 speed. It felt pretty strong naturally aspirated. Need to fix a few things before I take it back out and get into boost. I will work on that later this week. Big thanks to Efini~FC3S for hooking me up with a awesome price on a built motor. I am so ******* happy to have my car driving again.

Yep. It happened without any warning. We needed a supermiata damper for turbofan's car. And when i looked at the options last year it said 36-2. Never saw a change announcement. We installed it, switched to 36-2 triggering and away we went.

At first we were messing toothed wheel and trying to figure out angles, because we missed the right option. I emailed 949 and asked and they said "Miata 36-2". We looked at the list again and switched to it. Car started up damn near perfectly on the first try. It starts far better then any of my other cars using the stock 4 tooth trigger wheel. I will post a screen shot tomorrow of the settings I am using.

IIRC back when I bought my 949 damper (preorder group buy, first production run) there was no code for the MS, or at least that's what everyone told me at the time. This makes me want to change to the 36-2.
