Default jtothawhat is about to bust a 1.6

Okay time has come for me to finally make a build thread....

This is going to be a 2-3 month long process, and will be updating with pictures as much as possible. The motor will be torn apart this week for my long nose crank swap, and billet gears--as well as this bad boy; I will be ordering in the morning.

My twin scroll manifold should be done in about 6 weeks.

I promise vids when I make at/and or around 600 whp so I can shut everyone up for good.

The current engine bay.

How much was the custom NAWWWZZZ bottle and what sort of power do you expect to see with it?

In for results, especially of a TS on a 1.6. Got a thread for background on the build? Internals?

Sort of unrelated question, how do you like your breather setup? Any reason you have both vents on the same side of the VC? How're the fumes on the street? Did you find going to a VTA setup caused oil leaks?

iN FOR GLORY!

Please let us know how your bearings and cylinders and pistons look. Pics if possible please. I need more data on bearings in high hp miatas.

Also details on what your build will include!

There's no need to have vents on both sides of the VC. All that matters is that you have a decent amount of square inches so your breather is high volume, not high velocity. A VTA setup should not cause oil leaks!!!

Although that clutch will hold the power you are looking for I dont think you will like it on the street very much, your turbo should help but with no slip and no low end torque it could be a bear to drive. Ill buy it from you for my track car once you decide to move on though.

That's just what I was hearing from other forums (and not necessarily Miata ones), that since instead of a vacuum (from the PCV system) in the crankcase you have atmospheric pressure or higher, that it could cause leaks. Good to know though, about Miatas not being as prone. Thanks.

Supposedly the organic twin isn't that bad on the street.

Will do, I will make sure to take pictures of the bearings. A lot of the car is staying the same, changing out the hotside. Here are some pictures of the manifold design I am copying.

I like my breather set-up a lot actually. I have no problems with fumes or oil leaks of any sort.

Somewhere around here man, but to give you a quick run down:

Bottom End:
Wiesco 9:1 Pistons .60 over
Carrillo H Beam Rods
ARP everywhere
*Billet Gears/Street Strip Pump from Boundary

Head:
Full race port & polish
Ferrera Valves
Supertech springs/ ti retainers
Kelford 272 turbo cams

I am changing my fuel set-up as well to FIC 1650CC injectors -8AN Feed/-6AN return, Fuel Labs 40 Micron Fuel Filter, 044 Inline, 255 LHP Intake

That one will not handle the power he is going to make.

Jason, you should stop wasting your money and buy a real car at this point.
