I saw that. But 1. I don't have a track to bed them in and 2. Its still kind of vague. I was hoping for more of 40- 0 then 60-0 kind of thing. Sense "snubbing" can be interpreted different ways.
And 3. I was curious if anyone had a specific way of doing it that works well.

Just found this:
  1. 5 light snubs*, light pedal application: 50mph – 30mph
  2. 5 medium snubs, medium pedal application: 70mph – 40mph
  3. 3 hard snubs, hard pedal application (no ABS activation): 100+mph – 30mph**
  4. Cool down period – 5 mile run with very little brake (Do not sit at side of road with foot resting on brakes when hot, this is likely to damage the disc).
  5. Stop and examine discs – discs should show evidence of heat cycle (colouration in flange) and possess an even transfer layer of pad material on surfaces.
  6. Bedding procedure should now be complete.
Thats what I was looking for

I just hammer them a couple of times to wear in to the grooves on the rotors and that's it. Keep driving or go home. Mario Andretti says they are "First turn ready", as in put them on and go, even during a pad change in an endurance race.

They stop fine hot or cold and are better when they match the rotor grooves after a few good stops.

Five or so hard stops from 50 or 60 down to 10. Drive long enough to cool down. Done. Don't make it more complicated than it is.

That's pretty crazy.

But nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to Miata brakes.

So, I did a thing...

Its a 2014 Ninja 300 with just under 1400 miles on the clock. More than enough power to keep me entertained, without wanting to kill me. I like it.

Anyways, as many of you know, MMRLS is around the corner, and I still havent touched my car yet...hehe.

I have to:
1. Pick up oil from trackspeed
2. Get fenders pulled
3. Oil change
4. Brake fluid flush
5. Intall Momo stering wheel
6. Install wing
7. Install splitter
8. Slap on the 15x10s

all in less than 2 days. Yay.

Any update on brake woes? I'm having my own issues that i haven't really had time to sink my teeth into, as well as having a more pressing car to work on, with a little "i'm so sick of brake issues i could scream" throw in on top.

Brake are good now. The ring wore away and all is well. I am still having the pad knockback issue though an I kinda gave up on it.

Here comes my wall of text from last weekend at MMRLS.

So, its friday, the day before I am supposed to be on track, and Brian Z. and I were scrambling to get my car sorted for the weekend. We figured out a new passenger side splitter mount location because the threads for the other one stripped out. We also flushed the brakes, put the wing on, and did on oil change. That night, I try to get as much sleep as I could, but woke up at 3am because I forgot to close my bedroom window and was freezing. I couldnt go back to sleep out of excitement and because I was still cold. Anyways, thats irrelevant.

Saturday morning I arrive at the track, unload all my stuff, and introduce myself to everybody. I made the mistake of not bringing my little chair to the drivers meeting that took about an hour covering all the regular boring stuff.

I was going fairly quick. But the car felt loose. I got a more aggressive alignment since last time I was there so I was hoping that it would feel more planted. After taking a ride along and talking with Andrew I came to the conclusion that my car felt sluggish compared to his. His car had much more straight line power, was more responsive, and had more grip everywhere. I was not expecting may car to feel exactly like his obviously but the difference was staggering to say the least. We boiled it down to my wing wasn't really doing much due to having no top on the car. My dampening was too soft, he had a more aggressive alignment, front tire pressure was too high, and ultimately, my car is a pig, its heavy. Unfortunately I didn't sign up for Sunday so I was unable to make changes and see how it felt. On the bright side, was able to take Greg from TheCarPassionChannel out for a ride again this year. Along with Brian Z., who really enjoyed it.

I followed everybody back to the camp site, found an empty spot to pitch tent. And then went out to dinner with everyone. Now, if you haven't already, go over to the MMRLS meet up thread and take a peek at Richards (Mobius) explanation of the......interesting event that unfortunately took place.

Sunday rolls around and I want to get as many rides as possible. So I hop in the K miata and I liked it a lot, more than Andrews car, no. But still a wild ride. I also got a ride in the other black track speed car that was on hoosiers and 300whp, however he ran out of e85 so I had to settle for the 220whp tune and the front tires felt like they were toast. Next year, I want to get a ride in Ryan Passeys car, and a v8 swapped car.

Its like the 3rd session of Sunday and Albert offers me his last session of the day. He was also in B group so I gladly accept. I unpack my car again, and make as much changes the car as I can. I cranked the dampening all the way up to 18/15 from full stiff (20), drop front tire pressure, and put the soft top up. I go out, and went 2.5 seconds faster than my PB putting me at a 1:45.5. I was ecstatic. There is definitely more time left in the car. I think I can get a low 1:44 if not faster. Anyways, that was a good sendoff to the weekend.

Here is the only footage I got from the weekend, My SD card got full with this session and the one ride along from Andrew.

I took forward to seeing everyone again next year. HUGE thanks to Brian Z. rain for everything. You are a legend my man.

Looks like I left dinner just in time. No mention of my car even though it was on wastegate the first time and turned down pretty far the second time. Good to see you there George!

It was great to see you as well Carlos! I might be up at the drag strip in my brothers STI one of these days. So if I'm there I will keep an eye out for you.

One thing I forgot to mention was that I kinda distroyed my splitter over the MRLS weekend. I was down an incline to get out of a gas station and it hooked on a little notch in the road and stopped the car in its tracks.

So, im gonna make a new one with birch ply, in hopes that if I ever go off this won't happen again. My only worry is that it will take the impact and crack, rather than just get a little smushed. What do you guys think? Should I just fork out the money for alumilite again?

I also want to redo the mounting system. A quick disconnect is a must for me being a streetcar still. Im over taking the bumper off every single time to mount the splitter. Im gonna use quick laches for the bumper cover, and I'm gonna make a permanent splitter mount that will stay on the car, and Ill use dezus fasteners to attach it to the mounts.

Also in the works is an EP air dam that will also be quick disconnect.

Hah. Splitters are sacrificial devices, if you make it stronger then it'll just rip the bumper off when you go off track and hit the dirt instead.
