It supports the rear end from underneath. Leaves zero room for for exhaust

Ohhhh.... so it's even worse on top of the reduced clearance for exhaust the 8.8 has?

Only picture I have. But even it. Shows how limited the real estate is down there lol

Alright I may go with 15x9s out of the gate and save the 17s for a street setup later.

Does anyone know or have any pictures of how much room a set of flares would get me?

I haven't been getting much time to see the car. I am on 12 hour weeks at work but I did manage to get the starter in and the dash put back in kinda.

Missing vents currently but the car just needs to drive I can always come. Back and button things up.

Don't mind rust that's my fault hah.

This is starting to come together. Gauges will be custom those are just in there for a filler right now.

Suggestions on seats. I was thinking kicked seats but I'm still up in the air.

I didn't however get this awesome thing in the mail today.

1-3/4 long tube kit. I already have flanges. And plan to ceramic coat them.

After looking at this awesome thread going on here, my only comment is that you should stick with a 15" wheel combo for every form of driving you do. It looks better in my opinion, and has the best choices for what you are doing with the car.

If I were to drag race it, I would go no wider than an 8" wheel, and go as tall a tire as I could stuff under the car. A 26" will require modifying the front edge of the wheel opening.

I would consider changing the gear to a 3.55 or 3.31 if you think your 3.73 is too low, particularly if you opt for a 24.5" tall drag slick. 8.8 gears are cheap.

Yea the gearing may need changed but I bought the rear end complete for a great deal. So I'll see how it does.

But the gto Trans and 3.73 will. Mean. Short gearing.

I will have 15x9s in the car for most things but I'm. Not throwing the 17 idea out.

If we're to get drop knuckles to keep roll center down. And a legit sized 17 inch r comp Street tire it might work.

But we will see its just an idea I keep throwing around.

I have also thought of converting the car to c5 control arms spindle and brakes. Would be another fun thing. Hah
