Followed the wires up to the fuse box. 3 of them went to a boil just behind the fuse box and 1 went into it.

I hate flat black paint some times. Bike came vaunted flat black wiring, wheels, frame ECT...
So off come the tires, and a good time to teach her how to run the tire machine.

Let the cutting begin.
The end to my night and I cannot wait to see how good/bad they are.

Step 1
Look at the pics on the instructions.
Cannot read a word of it.
Hit Google to see how everyone else has done it...find nothing

Step 2
Cut out the paper
And Mark the bumper.

Size: 206.8 KB

Step 3
Cut ****
Try to stay within the lines
We did really good here
But if you **** up its ok they have a nice fat lip around the outside so just don't **** up too bad m'kay
Name: 0311171839a_HDR_zpsdqjf3q7z.jpg
Views: 106
Size: 278.2 KB

Step 4
Bolt everything together
Cuss out everyone else for having. Small hands and a wrist that Can bend in 180° around.
Find out that the headlight supports are 2 diffrent sizes and that you put them on the wrong side.
Swap support sides and then call everyone out to check them out.

Those actually look pretty good. I wonder if you can add vents on the lower part of the mounts to add some more airflow if necessary.

We were looking at putting projectors in there.
but only reason I can think for not air flow would be for oil cooler or brake ducting. Its too far away for intercooler or radiator air flow.

I thought about it and I think it's a bad idea for airflow since you want the flow to go out from the hood instead of hindering the flow through the radiator.

It might be good if you had the intake or something right there, but otherwise I was probably wrong.

On the bright side there is some room under them for balists or boost pipes. I'll have to measure them out when I'm not in a bit of a rush.

Just go get some more Maguires and buff it again. Maybe repaint the windshield frame. Blue is coming back through. I already talked to joe. When I get the rest of the bodywork finished, he is gonna come down from his shop and spend the weekend here to get away from the city and we are gonna wrap it.

Today was a long slow day...
Perfect for time change and starting to clean up the wheels for paint.

As you can see P.O. didn't even take the time to remove the wheel weights.
Using a small wire wheel to remove the bulk of the paint. When working on the lip there is lots of chances for slips...

While I was chipping away at my paint Ivan was working on his flares rebuilding them for the 4th or 5th time.

He is the guy that ousted just above me,his intro thread will hopefully post soon and I'm sure we will link to it.
Last bit of my day before heading to work was going back over the suspension bits making sure everything was there and mostly tight. Waiting on trans and diff seals, some fluids and other bits for the motor to come in so we can slam it together. Hopefully there isn't too many unforseen issues....

Going to start on wiring and some finish work on the interior of I wake up early enough in the next 2 weeks. I'm working 12+ hours for 2 nights then I don't know the schedule will be after that.
I've got the wife and Ivan doing stuff that I won't have time for or that I've looked over.

Going to sum up the last few days. Mainly cause I'm not there for the most part.
Monday
Waiting on parts to come in. Trans fluid showed up but instead of diff fluid there was a quart of race oil. Hopefully that will show up in time but we will see.
The led headlights showed up so Ivan jumped on that and got them going.

So far they are good for daylight pics. Waiting to see how they look on the road. Ivan said they have a good cut off,but just run with the highs on at all times cause they don't look that bright. Possibly going to upgrade to projectors in the future.

Led headlights $50

Tuesday
Coolant block off plate install....with a little hiccup but I think they got it fixed...I had to leave for work be for it was finished.

I didn't have a lot of time to check **** out. 14 hour night before. I talked them through the timing belt and started removing the factory hard top mounts,i never had the chassis side of the side mounts. Wife went to the store to get bolts for it after dropping me off at work.
Ppf was put back in place. Then everyone went to help Ivan buff out his car so we can all jump on mine tomorrow.

Hardtop brackets $115
Bolts for brackets $15

Wednesday
Few set backs went to go put the rear cover into the diff only to figure out it's a dam 1.6 cover. Start on plan "B" start tearing into the rx7.

Thursday
Full engine wiring, cooling and plumbing done. Rear diff in the rx7 came out and that was about it.

Friday
Rolling on 4 hours of a nap.
Hard top fully mounted
Put the rear diff together with new poly bushings. Driver side 1.6 axle don't wanna come out of the hub. By the time it came out we beat it to hell the bearings were shot a it was 830. A quick search and a call to AutoZone and off Ivan went. Its 22ish miles to the store and he showed up just be for closing. $90 later I've got a new bearing and a hub.
After the rear hub went in and re filled the transmission and diff. We fired up the motor she didn't sound right at all. We tore down the top end and the whole front end, redid the the timing belt.when we went to go set the timing...and then the mark was moving slowly around the pulley. Staring at One another with wtf looks. Go in take a dump and some Google time and we figured out the damper is coming apart. We called it a day at 4am and put out a quick feeler on the fb groups.

Saturday
Friend came through from a hour away and brought a dapener for the cost of fuel. We set the timing got the exhaust on and got the car driveway aligned by 3.
Soon as we went to town and ate we were all dead and didn't even wanna go to car meet.

Now the car is mostly legal. Its on the road and needs a few small tweeks. On an odd note on auto to manual swaps the car has to be in neutral to start besides that it's all good.

P.s.
Lexan windows and Sun rot is fun
We washed it and the water was brown so we said **** it and polished it and it helped a little bit.

Time to get her smog ready. Warming up it runs at about 900 rpm but once it warms up its a hair over 1000. We have tightened the idle screw all the way down to no avail.

We broke out with the starting fluid and went on the hunt for a vacuum leak. Pvc is leaking by so we will have to go take care of that on the way to the smog shop.

Didn't have time for smog so I'm going to do it later on this week.
New valve out in and gasket on order $20

Few led's cam in. As I ordered the wrong set for the rear turn signals but the fronts look good with switch backs in them.$5 for the side markers and $12 for the front turn signals.

Went in for an alignment took them about 2 hours and the tech bitching about a low car....lol $128 later and the car handlers 110x better. I'm running at race height and 949's duel purpose alignment. The tire shop told me I'm just ganna wear out tires at those specs if they wear bad I'll know I'm not driving it hard enough and go to a little less camber.

Put the under tray in first. Not the easiest thing to get in but once your done the front bumper is very very solid.
Horrible shot of it.

I'll use it to start sealing off the mouth later when I get a cheap radiator in there. It seals against the bottom pretty good but leaves the sides way open.

The front lip is too notch eBay quality, but with a lot of pulling it came out pretty good.
