I have no garage so yeah.. all depends on the weather

When can we see a dyno sheet? Im on the fence between the 6758TS and the 7163TS when my manifold shows up.

Did you just give us a 56k warning in 2019?

ryansmoneypit 01-14-2019 09:24 PM

What's a 56k warning

Mudflap 01-14-2019 09:35 PM

It's a warning to people over 40. or 56.

Fireindc 01-14-2019 10:13 PM

I came here to comment on the 56k warning too. Except I like that he used it, in some kind of nostalgic way.. or something.

Very nice work. That bay looks great, props to you.

May I ask how/where you stuffed the fuse box? I've been slowly trying to clean my bay up a bit without hindering ease-of-access too much. I've mostly been deleting things like the charcoal canister, wiper fluid res, and rerouting the harness a bit. If I can relocate the fuse box and get rid of that ugly metal bracket the wiper bottle mounts to without it causing too much of a headache, I'm down.

I know wire tucks and bay shaving isn't really popular here but I'd really like to find a base level wire tuck how-to that doesn't get too crazy. Something to clean things up a bit. Last time I tried searching around for something of that sort I came up a pretty dry. I guess I'll try again. Thanks for sharing!

Don’t bother, please. As someone who does a massive amount of wiring projects on cars for work, I’ll tell you that there’s no decent way to make a write up for a wire tuck. You’ve got 90-93, 94-95, 95.5-97, 99-00, 01-05, and various amounts of engine swaps, ebc solenoids, and so on with all of them, different levels of budget and skills, time, etc. there’s general principals for all cars though, so just search google for any wire tuck tips and tricks.

Valid point and solid advice, Curly. I'll search around a bit.

I suppose I could have reworded my reply to ask for any tips or tricks he had off the top of his head that wasn't too intrusive or a pita. Although, that's a bit of a spoon feed but I digress.

The fusebox is now behind the glove compartment. ABS pump is under the right headlight and the Powersteerigpump under the left headlight.

Mudflap 01-15-2019 11:50 AM

Curious - have you had any problems with your coolant? You put your coolant overflow tank down below, and common sense (to me) says that you'll have trouble drawing fluid back in when you cool down.

Vincentmiata 03-31-2019 06:43 AM

Had not any problems yet, thats something i have to find out. Im stil N/A at this moment but everything is back on and now need to drive a little to get a good basetune and see if everything is leak free.

Intake manifold needed some welding to put the bracket for the D585 coils on, its a custom made bracket and i think it looks pretty good, also painted the letters on my valve cover in the same color as the engine bay. RAL 9003

The more clean the engine bay gets the more there is to do to make it clean. So there is lots of work left.

matrussell122 04-01-2019 10:56 AM

Are you up and driving this around?

Full_Tilt_Boogie 04-01-2019 11:14 AM

Ive never been a big fan of the whole "shaved" bay thing, but I have to admit this is a nice looking setup.

It would be interesting to see this kind of super-short-runner intake manifold compared to a skunk2 or flat top. Id imagine it chops the tops off the torque peak but the flow should be excellent.

Ive been doing a tig welding class at the moment, when im confident enough i can start to weld my exhaust. So should be very soon when i can start welding everything up
