I'd say you're wrong on that respect, because I talk to the people from this site "!!" who have mentioned otherwise. The car great - just watch your boost. The video is to showcase the tail end of the spectrum, that's all.

Let me put this in a way that you can hopefully understand:

YOUR CAR IS BROKEN. MORE PEOPLE WOULD BE INTERESTED IF IT WASN'T BROKEN.

If you rebuilt the engine and unfucked the fueling I would give you $8k. As is, $4k, which is what a parts car with a turbo kit would be.

I typed up responses to like 6 posts but didn't post them because I didn't want you to think I am picking on you, but: the car isn't fine or great. It really isn't. The car is a ticking time bomb waiting to blow up in it's current condition. Frankly I'm really impressed it's still ticking having pegged lean at 12psi with only a few degrees of static timing pulled. The last BP I took apart that was treated this way (with power cards, no less), the pistons cracked more than humpty dumpty coming out. You could see through one of them through the hole that detonation created.

The up side to all of this is you're getting a ton of publicity by getting this thread bumped with all these quesitons/comments/concerns.
The down side is that your car is very likely damaged by how it's been treated/running all this time.

That said, I'll just say BUYER BE CAREFUL and leave it at that. You seem to be an honest/upfront guy so I'll trust that you will fully disclose everything to potential buyers that haven't seen this thread.

To the others: the info a buyer needs to be aware of is already posted, no need for any further comments unless you have a valid question/interest in the car.

Thanks

Ahh yes, please yell more.

I've stated my case, you disagree, and that's okay.

If you want to call me, and yell further - my number is available. Or you can comment your disagreements on here more, over a car you will not buy, if you think it's worth your time.

Man, I have been lurking this forum for a while looking to pick up another car, and I am an active member on a lot of forums, but I have never seen such an out of control classified post. Good luck with your sale buddy, and just be honest with the potential buyers. I realize the car isnt perfect, but most used modified cars aren't.

Posting these for ***** and giggles. Here are two cars with similar asking prices:

http://swmi.craigslist.org/cto/4984429383.html 1994 Turbo Miata - Customized by Flyin' Miata - $12000
1994 Turbo Miata that has had nothing but the best upgrades from Flyin' Miata. Flyin' Miata is the best custom Miata shop around. Google them to find out all about the great work they do.

I have over $25,000 in receipts just from Flyin' Miata with hundreds of dollars more in receipts for other parts and accessories. Most receipts can be made available electronically, including those from Flyin' Miata. Motor, suspension, transmission, all upgraded.

Car has 60,000 miles on it. Incredibly fast. Setup to comfortably run 350hp to the rear wheels with potential for over 400hp with the right programming. I purchased this vehicle from a gentleman who obtained it from a deceased friend who had Flyin' Miata do all the work. This thing is a beast on the street or would be great on the track.

Highlights:

Motor - 2.0 Stroker kit completely installed by Flyin' Miata with no expense spared ($15,000). Flyin' Miata III Turbo ($5400). Flyin' Miata Turbo 2 exhaust as well.

Suspension - Flyin' Miata Stage 3 suspension kit with KYB Shocks ($1550)

Transmission - High Performance 5 Speed Transmission Kit ($2800)

Brakes - Big Brake Kit Featuring Willwood Brake Components ($1400)

Vehicle comes with a Link Programmer already installed and ready to use. Really too many other things to mention including AEM Wideband Gauge kit, aftermarket stereo, custom seat covers (Driver's side just a bit worn), upgraded race ready radiator, 2 sets of wheels and tires . Goodyear Eagle high performance summer tires on the vehicle now.

The car was painted by the previous owner. He did a very good job and it presents very well. There are some detail areas that are not quite perfect but overall a very good job.

I have boxes of information including manuals, dyno sheets, books about miatas, forced induction, etc. Also have a bunch of the original parts including the hood, radiator and exhaust various other items.

2000 MAZDA MIATA TURBO 400HP CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE MODIFIED 5SPD
2000 MAZDA MIATA TURBO 400HP CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE MODIFIED 5SPD - $10990

For sale is my 2000 mazda miata turbo. This car is a true custom car. With over $15000 in performance upgrades and only 2,000 miles since all mods have been done it has not seen a track yet very lightly driven miles. With installed standalone ECU and LS1 coil packs it produced over 400hp on pump gas. Sad to see car go but with a new born baby and loss of garage space this is one I must sell. Too many upgrades to list some are as follows. If you have any questions at all feel free to call.
Thanks,
Ryan

Engine
? Hydra nemesis ECU
? Wisco 8.5 to 1 pistons
? Forged Carillo custom rods
? LS1 individual coil packs
? 6 puck clutch
? Full front mount intercooler with custom piping
? Ported and polished head with valve job
? New valve springs with titanium hats
? Fully custom fabricated stainless steel turbo manifold
? GT3071R ceramic ball bearing turbo
? Walbro fuel pump
? 750cc RC fuel injectors
? Tial wategate
? Custom aluminum radiator
? Flyin miata dual feed fuel rail
? Oil catch
Suspension and car
? Kyb adjustable shocks
? Flyin miata front sway bar
? Brand new tires less than 200 miles
? Full exhaust from turbo back

Hey, OP. If you want a better return on your investment, put a real ECU on it.
Hell, a Rev ECU will come with a basemap. Then you can drive it to one of the 10 people in the metro area who can further tune it for you.

Like I said in my PM. This car is worth like 6k as it sits. With Roughly a $1000 investment and some time, it may even sell for 9k.
Well, maybe not after posting that video. lol

Thanks for your advice.

Maybe I should have just posted the car, saying it runs 6psi (which it does), and left it at that. This is what I get for being an honest seller /s

Did you say you had several $10k offers?

...why didn't you accept them?

I'm not trying to get you out of our hair, this has been entertaining (though a bit painful). I was just wondering what happened with that. Anytime a Miata sells for an abnormally high amount of money I'd say it's good for those of us with modded Miatas. I know you're being straightforward to people. That low mileage, however irrelevant, drives the price up.

Good luck.

Honesty always pays off in the end. You did the right thing because now no one has an excuse to accuse/sue you if something happens afterwards.
You've got a clean car, with good parts on it. The 2 major things in need of attention are the internals of that engine and engine management.

I like that there's no mention of the AFRs killing the motor or the wild boost creep.
