Selling because of California *%@#ing smog: I've owned this car since 2008, and drove it across the country in 2010. I kept the Massachusetts plates for a while, then successfully smogged and registered it here from 2014-2016, by showing the original CARB paperwork for the Greddy turbo kit. However, the second time around trying to smog it I've been unable to pass visual inspection. Registration is paid through Sept 2018, but incomplete. The full details:

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4588/...70bc1b4c_c.jpg

De-powered manual steering rack
Fat Cat Motorsports MCU shock mounts
Bilstein shocks with Eibach Springs
Torsen Limited Slip Differential w/ half shafts and drive shaft
Flyin Miata Front & Rear Sway Bars
Racing Beat Subframe Brace
Rearend Brace
GarageStar Delrin door bushings
Braided Stainless Brake Lines

Extras included with sale
Boost control solenoid
Flyin' Miata timing belt and engine seal installation tools
Pair of black pre-93 OEM mirrors with slim base
Unmodified OEM ECU
Many other OEM parts including complete non-turbo intake system
Extra spare wheel and tire
Lots of extra hardware
OEM front fender liners and engine undertray

The bad stuff
The paint really really sucks (sheetmetal is reasonably straight, but paint cannot be salvaged)
Your standard rocker panel rust
Driver's seat upholstery is f'ed
The car was stolen in 2015 and the lock for the driver side door needs replacing
Missing gauge cluster hood

In Summary
This car is pretty damn quick, even at the 6-7 pounds of boost it's currently running without electronic boost control. The suspension is remarkably comfortable, even on San Francisco city streets, and it's a blast to drive with the fast ratio manual steering rack. I was super-excited to finish the project with EBC and a professional dyno tune, then get it out on the track, but I'm unwilling to fight CARB any further. This thing would be perfect for a PNO trackday car, or a great starting point for an Exocet / Catfish / LoCost lightweight build.

Price is $3500 firm, or potential trade for a Bendpak 4 post lift (e.g. HD-9) with a pair of RJ-45 bridge jacks
