Its way over-priced, regardless if it has 30,000 labor hours on it and a 10,000 paint job.

Unfortunately this is no Barracuda or classic Charger that do hold there value when customized.

This is Nathan Sumner's car, not sure if he had an account on here or not. He was a local here in Atlanta, has completed 3 or 4 LS swaps, helped with developing the V8 exhaust from Enthuza, and has since moved to Michigan. I've seen and ridden in that car and it's definitely worth what he's asking. However all that being said, I doubt he will get what he's asking in the current market.

Hell...I think Nathan can ask a premium price just considering what he's contributed to the LS swap community. Ever visit his site? I feel like I could have a swap done in my sleep after all that he posted about this build.

A super clean, bug free and track worthy LS Miata is definitely worth what he's asking. Doubters need to price out a turn-key from FM, then consider track prep (think big brakes), and report back.

i don't think anyone with spend that for a car that's almost 2 decades old. imagine trying to sell a 91 civic for 25K, likely not happening regardless of modifications

Yep, turn key is $29,995 from FM according to their calculator and that's with you providing the car. His car not only has big brakes, but a nice Ohlins suspension, 6-pt rollbar, bucket seats, harnesses, straight clean body, hard top, etc.

Then why are people still spending $30k or more with FM to get a turn-key LS3 Miata? The recent market sucks for Miatas such as his, but not too long ago, they were indeed going for $20-25k in complete form. It all depends on the target buyer.

Well all you'd have to do is modify the engine block to include quarter size slots cast into the webs underneath the travel area of the piston, increase compression from 10.1:1 to 10.5:1 by changing the chamber head's volume to 63cc, port the intake to increase the engine™s volumetric efficiency while still retaining the proper airflow characteristics, equally space the exhaust ports and move the floor up about .125 for better flow, install a camshaft with increased valve lift, install higher rate valve springs, and change the intake manifold. Or just order a head/cam package which will make 30-40 more rwhp while still retaining 100% civility.

Nathans car is WELL worth what he is asking for the right buyer. Its very quick, very clean, and very well sorted out.

I'm sitting well over 12k into my setup so far and have not called to order the kit, radiator, or exhaust yet (another 4000+)

Yup Nathan seems to know his **** and builds solid swaps. I don't think he uses the same kit as FM though. I think his moves more weight over the front. I think it's a bit overpriced. I bet it sells for 18ish. He has a bunch of vids on youtube.

It doesn't seem to effect handling all that much though. I'm using the rearward mount just for the added room between the engine and the radiator.

I've watched Nathan's build from the beginning and have been impressed at the speed of how he got things done. And he was a grad student. For what he's accomplished he deserves that asking price.
