LONG STORY (IF WANT THE SHORT STORY, SCROLL DOWN)
This Miata has been a project of mine for the past 7 years. It has gone through various stages and timeless upgrades. All supporting mods to push 350+ to the rear wheels, thanks to that Garrett GT2560R Dual ball bearing turbocharger. Mated to that Flyn’ Miata turbo manifold. The last major project to this car was a wire tuck and freshly painted engine bay. That black powder coated valve cover pairs real nice in that engine bay.

Just recently, a new law went into place regarding loud exhausts. Something to the tune of $1000 fine. That’s just ridiculous. Luckly, this Miata has an electric exhaust cutout. Yes, that’s right… Going from a quiet stock exhaust note to a deep rumble with that sweet spool paring nicely. All from a flick of a switch.

This bad beast of a Miata is running a 3” downpipe, all the way through the 3” electric exhaust cutout which goes through a riveted aluminium plate in the rear bumper… It looks really sick if you ask me.

The dashboard is complete. That’s hard to come by with used Miata’s. Especially that gauge cluster hood. Apparently, that’s a rare commodity for Miata’s. The dashboard was upgraded with saude particulate fabric, just like them rally race cars. It screams sexy as MF.

Custom 3” Exhaust with Electric Exhaust Cutout (Car still has stock exhaust in the back. When the cutout is closed, exhaust gases go through the stock exhaust. Once the cutout is open, gasses exhaust through a side exit in the rear bumper, 3” inch of unrestricted airway for the turbo to breath. Driving in the fastlane, cruising next to the freeway divider has excellent acoustics. Imagine driving this car, with the top down, and hearing that sweet Garrett GT2560R dual ball bearing turbo spool along with that deep exhaust rumble….. Wind in your hair… A great feeling.

Megasquirt is currently running on a street tune map on the 254cc injectors at 6-7lbs of boost.The tune still has lots of room for improvement. The next step is to buy a decent set of injectors (the 450cc RX-7 injectors were difficult to tune for idle due to the pintle style design. poor particle atomization). Decide if you wish to run E85, or straight Gas. Megasquirt can handle large CC injectors, so it’s totally scaleable. Throw in a new set of injectors and some time on a dyno for a good WOT tune session to unleash the 14-18psi beast. Don’t get me wrong, rolling the streets at 6-7psi is still a lot of fun in this tiny ass car. Banging in 2nd and 3rd can chirp those rear tires pretty loud. Don’t underestimate that GT2560R turbo. Thanks to the dual ball bearings, full spool kicks in sooner in the RPM band. Hits even harder when you have the exhaust cutout full open.

Why am I selling it? I am trying to move out of my parents house and I need to get all my shit liquidated. Things happen and things change. So, all my hardwork can go to someone who appreciates Miata’s and can take her to that next level. She’s built for it but she needs a good owner to take care of her and really enjoy every moment in that car.

It’s a fun car. I never liked Miatas because I thought they were really unmasculine cars. Oh, I forgot mention I threw on a body lip kit to give it more of a manly appeal. Anyway, Miatas drive like no other. With the top down, sometimes it feels like I’m in this go-kart cruising the streets of San Diego. It’s such a fun Sunny San Diegan car.

I’m asking a measly $7200 for this whole thing. I am open to offers but please make them reasonable. You should've seen this car when I first picked it up. Shit didn’t even run! I had to tow it back to my parents house.was missing all kinds of shit. Engine was leaking oil…Clutch Slipping. In the course of 7 years, I gave it new life. Replaced every single missing piece and upgraded everything that made sense.

I need to sell this car to someone who can appreciate it. Comes with a clean CA title. No major accidents according to the carfax. I checked and did not see any signs of frame damage. Everything is straight on the body. The exterior paint does need some TLC. I do have a gallon of red paint left for the exterior. It comes with the car.
