I've owned this fun little car for 15 years or so and it went from my commuter car (in the summer/fall) to a weekend car to a full time project car.
It's been garaged in a climate controlled garage the whole time I've had it. For the last 5 years it's been sitting in my garage with the motor out, waiting for a rebuild (coincidentally, I have a 6 year old daughter). I finally got some time to spend on it and got it rebuilt last month, pretty much so I can sell it and make room in the garage for my wife's car (and maybe a motorcycle, again). It has 160 miles on it so far and will be going up slowly as I break it in.
With the stock motor I was running 25lbs of boost without issue (aside from traction issues) but I also only drove it about 1500 miles a year.
The chassis has right around 136k miles on it.

It has a new'ish soft top with a glass rear window and a hard top (with defrost).
New tires and wheels.
Miata LSD with 4.10 gear.
Original 5 speed transmission but the seals and bearings have been replaced.
Flying Miata frame rail braces.
Now for the huge list of everything around the engine:
AEM standalone ECU
AEM Wideband O2 sensor/gauge
AEM C2DI with Coil on Plug ignition
Rx7 fuel injectors (reconditioned/cleaned by Marren fuel injection)
255lph Walbro fuel pump
original head with mild port and polish, surfaced, all new Supertech valves and valve gear (including springs)
all new lifters (hydraulic lash adjuster if you prefer)
original block bored .20 over with Manley rods and Topline pistons
ARP head studs
all bearings (rod, main and thrust) are ACL race bearings
2001 Miata oil pan and MBSP
coolant re-route (my own version but similar to what most people do)
BEGI coated manifold
t3/to4e turbocharger (very large journal bearing turbo, .63 hot side but I'll have to check and update this)
Dual port external waste gate with electronic boost control by the AEM ECU
3" exhaust from the turbo back
reasonably large intercooler (i probably could have left the AC exchanger in place, but I didn't)
Many more things, i have a stack of receipts for machine work, parts, ... I should have measured the intercooler and wrote down the turbo specs but I'm at work and had a moment of bravery to actually post the add. I'll update that info later though.

I live in Virginia, in a county that does not require emissions inspection but i did put a cat in the exhaust (highflow 3"), I don't know if it would pass a state sniffer test but to me it seems to clean up the exhaust enough that nobody would wonder if you had a catalyst or not.

The car originally had AC but I wanted the extra room for a better intercooler fit. I kept all the AC parts if you want them.
This car does NOT have power steering (I really prefer not having it on this car, even with larger tires).

It looks like you reinstalled the stock rods when you rebuilt the engine, is that correct?

Do you have a dyno plot? How much power is it currently making? Who tuned it? Thank you in advance

Haven't had it on the dyno so power is just a guess, I would guess right around 300 with 15-18psi. I have run 25psi without any issue also, no idea how much power that is though.
I did the tuning on the road and it runs great but it has a lot of room for adding timing, I was very conservative in that department. It does have a knock sensor but tuning on the road (pushing the timing to it's limits) is very hard for timing advance, that pretty much requires a dyno. The fueling is pretty rich after 10psi also, still more room for power there by leaning it out but again, that I would want to do on a dyno.

Can't believe this hasn't been sold yet. Free bump for a great price.

Sure, will do. I just put the hard top on last weekend and I'll take some pics tonight.
The only rust spot is, from what I understand, a pretty common problem; under the car where the drain hole for the top exits and gets plugged. it's not visible rust but it's starting.

I'll attach a couple shots for the benefit of anyone interested.

tblack, sent you a text and replied to your PM.
It passed Virginia safety inspection yesterday AND passed the 200 mile mark so I upped the boost to 15psi, amazing how much difference 5psi makes! (it's been at 9psi for the first 200 miles).
if I can manage to get to 500 miles before it get's too cold it will be back to 25psi (full boost)
note: the hard top is a Mazda hard top, not one of the flimsier after market fiberglass ones (with defrost).

OK -- so I've been looking for a while and let a couple of really good ones go - -too far, not enough time etc.. But you live in Virginia and so does my sister, so I could make a trip and come back with this...

I was wondering if making a time to come and look at the car is a possibility. I am a serious buyer, currently trying to get rid of my current 3 series BMW (2002 E46 330i) and get into something with the same power but with more affordability that I can daily and take to the track.
