Tried to send you a PM, but post count is too low. If the car is still in Auburn, how about sending me a PM. Thanks.

I would PM you, but I don't have enough posts.

I kinda like this car, but the more I read this thread and look at the pictures the more I wonder!

What I've gathered from looking at the pictures:

If the car spent almost 100k miles in Alaska, what does the bottom side look like?

Why is the trunk lid bent? Any accidents or paint work?

The car shows signs of sun damage. Purple tint, cracked arm rest, cracked and faded top, etc. Was it always parked outside? Does the top leak?

Do you have documentation for the engine build? Receipts, recent dyno sheets, pictures of internals, etc.

What I've gathered from reading the thread:

Someone asked about the clutch in the car, which one are you running and how old is it?

They also asked: "Does it still have OBD2? Also, is this car daily drivable? How stiff is the clutch and suspension?"

Another person asked: "Is it reliable enough to daily drive?" and you answered "If you're unable to tune yourself and you don't have a local tuner to do it for you then I don't recommend this car."

What does that mean? Does the car have problems (surprises) that have yet to be sorted? Will I have to mess with it to get it running right every time I jump in for a drive?

You mentioned something about the car's idle control, are there issues there?

Have you already removed the Torsen? What's in there now?

You've had the car for sale for almost a year and have yet to sell it. Why the lack of motivation? I'm sure that you're tired of trying to sell it.

Other than the things I mentioned above, I like this car. I'm in Atlanta with cash in hand. I saw it on Craigslist and was pretty stoked. But then I found it here and was kind of heart broken. I know that I've that posed a lot of questions, but I hate making $8000 mistakes. Please sell me on it!

Alright guys the car is still for sale. I quit my job and moved to hawaii and haven't been actively selling it for obvious reasons.

The torsen is in a box, it has never been installed or removed from the car.

The car was never in Alaska, it's from Kentucky, lived in Tennessee and now lives in Alabama in a storage unit out of the weather as it has for the past two years.

The car got rear ended when the previous owner had it. The residual damage, though it was repaired is a spider cracked paint job on the rear bumper, mud flaps need resprayed, and the trunk is still a little high on the right side.

The car came with two layers of tint everywhere, I peeled off one layer of tint and it all turned purple. The convertible top could stand to be replaced. It has two repaired rips, one unrepaired rip around 1.5" long, and cracks around the trim above the windows.

It doesn't leak enough for me to care, I will not be replacing it. The car was built to be a street/race car not a beauty queen. If you want a car to impress your prom date this isn't it. Unless she loves raw, scary fast, excellent handling sports cars.

I have engine build paper work that shows the specs of all components installed and receipts from the machine shop that completed the work.

Clutch is an ACT HD 6 puck and has less than 25k miles on it. I've never had it slip on me once, it's an excellent clutch.

The car is not OBD 2 compliant. BECAUSE RACE CAR
The clutch is stiff enough to make grandma complain. BECAUSE RACE CAR
The suspension is stiff enough to cause miscarriages. BECAUSE RACE CAR
The car is daily drivable, if you're a man. BECAUSE RACE CAR

The car has an adaptronic ECU that needs idle control perfected. Or you can throw in a plug and play megasquirt and drop in someone elses starter map and tune away as well. That's up to you. It idles well when there is no extra electric or A/C load on the engine.

Yes the car has been for sale for over a year. No I haven't been actively selling it for over a year. I had an insane job that kept me from dealing with potential buyers, thus I could never complete the sale.

The car will be available for sale and pickup the middle of march. B----es

The car will be available for purchase beginning of April. I'll be back in Auburn then.

I have a few interested parties but if you want to be on the list as well let me know.

H3LL YES... I was wanting this a year ago when you first put it up. We exchanged info, I live in Huntsville/Madison but you weren't in Auburn soon enough for me to come drive/buy it. I live in Nashville now and due to an unfortunate wreck my toy was totaled (not a Miata). I would like to be put on that list please. Dirk: 2five6-97five-5nine97 text whenever, if I haven't picked up one of the others I'm looking at, I'll take an afternoon trip to come see it. Until then... -Cheers.

Car is available for sale. It runs and drives but needs some tuning work. I'll be moving to Atlanta soon. I don't want to store the car longer than I have to.

Lets make this happen. I also have pretty much every other miata/turbomiata part you might want including: frame rail braces, torsen, 3.9 RP w/speed sensor, COP conversion, coolant reroute, harness bar, etc. These are available with the car for extra cost on a piece by piece basis.

The Atlanta miata community is thriving - you'll probably have a better chance of selling it once you move here. You should consider listing it on MX5Atlanta.com too. GLWS.

Yeah the problem with me taking it there is then I might keep it because I'll have time to work on it, retune it, then I'll fall in love with it.
I drove it to storage last winter before I left and asked myself again why I was selling it. It's more than paid for, it's exactly what I want. That's why it needs to go. I'll keep spending money on it and I need to focus on other things.

Turbo Miata's are great and all but it doesn't fit my lifestyle anymore.

Who am I joking, I'll just keep it lol It's perfect.

Anyway, cleared out my inbox, sorry to everyone that couldn't send me PMs.

How much would it cost to ship the Miata? I'm looking to buy my first Miata, and yours looks like a nice one! I live in Miami, ideally I'd drive up to see the car and take it for a spin and then ship it back home or leave it in Jacksonville where I'll be going to college in a few weeks.

Even better, come up and see it once you're in Jacksonville, that's a short drive. Then just take it home with you.

Putting this here because apparently, I cant send PMs... :P

Is this car still availble? Its been on the market for months. Would it make a 500 mile trip back to NC where I live if I flew out there and picked it up in June?

Would it pass inspection on OBDII?

Researching this, I recognize its a very nice collection of parts. I am going to have cash on hand in June to buy my project car. This has what I want and I'm sure its pleny powerful. Do you think it will remin on the market for the next 60 days?

It may still be on the market then. I'm in the process of moving to southern atlanta. At that point I may keep or sell the car quickly depending on how badly people want it. I'll keep this thread active and up to date regarding the status of the car.

I remember back in the day when turbo miatas with built motors, suspension, and roll bars were cool.

Ahhhh, the good old days.
