FS: 2004 MSM
Selling my 2004 MSM. It has about 165K miles. Asking $6,000. Located in New Jersey.
Reasons to buy my car: 1. It's fast (relatively speaking). Dyno'd around 200rwhp. 2. Women dig it. (Ignore the blue car in the background. It's not mine.)
The car has some nice modifications: BEGI intercooler, CXracing aluminum radiator (and slim fans with shroud), Flying Miata intake, manual boost controller (currently set at 9.5psi), Flying Miata metal throttle body intake, recirculating blow-off valve, homemade intake heat shield, wastegate ported by BEGI to protect against boost creeping, BEGI separate gasses downpipe, ABSURDflow 3" midpipe/exhaust, Magnaflow muffler (exhaust all sounds great!!), FM O2 signal modifier, Boss Frog Maxx double-hoop rollbar, JVC head unit with Bluetooth support for your phone / iPod / etc. (also has front USB, single CD, removeable faceplate, and supports satellite adapter). Car has 15" steel wheels + worn-out snow tires; will also include OEM 17" alloy wheels + worn-out summer tires. Head gasket, etc. were done by a professional a year or two ago. Car has ONLY run on full synthetic oil and 93 octane since I bought it in 2006.
There are some things that need work. The car needs front brake rotors, new motor mounts, and is not currently passing NJ OBD-2 inspection due to an unknown reason. My cheap code reader says the emissions stuff is "not ready". However the car passed the last two times, so it's probably something simple. It also needs body work: there are many small nicks/scratches. There is a pinhole on the top passenger side. I patched it with silicon but who knows how that'll work long-term. One of the foglights needs a new bulb. This is not a show queen.
Bottom line, the car runs very strong, it's fast, it's unique vs. other Miatas, it's fairly reliable (just needs some light mechanical maintenance), and it's generally awesome if you can handle the scratches and stuff.

UPDATE -- car passed NJ emissions inspection! Also had the front rotors/pads done. Still for sale at $6,000 firm, or trade for a hatch/small SUV + some cash.
