Default 1997 Mazda Miata STO #1189 - $$4500

Category: Import
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1997 Mazda Miata STO #1189 for sale, in USA - Texas.

Mileage: 148000 miles
VIN: JM1NA3531V0738565
Engine Size: 1.8l

Asking price is $4500

Car is on ebay as well and you can find an autocheck(like carfax) and more photos. Car is located in Houston, Tx. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3AMESELX%3AIT

I am selling my 1997 Mazda Miata STO Edition #1189 5-spd manual. It has a clean Texas title. The car has 148,000 miles on it but the engine has around 60k-70k. The original engine ran out of oil and seized so I bought a used engine from a local engine shop that guarantees less than 60k miles on it. The car is in excellent shape mechanically. Nothing is wrong with it!!! It is the STO edition #1189 so it gets the special blue/green color (beautiful), the 15" rims, and it is fully loaded with a/c, power windows, power mirrors, leather, tape and cd player, leather steering wheel, rear spoiler, and speakers in the seats. A/C blows cold, all electrics work, no tears in the top, top doesn't leak, engine is strong, tranny shifts smooth, paint is NOT faded, and brakes are quite. When I put the new motor in a month ago I did a full tune-up with new timing belt, brand new windshield w/ molding, new transmission clutch (Exedy clutch), new 5yr battery, spark plugs, spark plug wires, new tires (high performance bfgoodrich g-force sports 195/50r15), radiator flush, new thermostat, and an oil change. So the car will be good to go for yrs before a major tune up is due again.

This is a one owner vehicle and I have the original window sticker and invoice. I have all the STO edition booklets and manuals that came with the vehicle including a wall plaque.

The ONLY things wrong with it are minor and they are a crack in the driver side rear taillight (nickel in size but doesn't let water in) and a scratch on the bumper right below it. (shown in picture) The soft top's window is slightly hazed (common for a 13yr old Miata), you can still see out of it but its not perfect. The driver side leather seat has creases on the front edge of them, but no tears or discolorification. The windows are slow to go up and down. They go up and down smoothly just slowly. It is just the window switch loosing efficency to send power to the motors. You can either clean the switches which helps alittle or replace it with a new one. It doesn't bother me enough to spend $50 to fix it. They work great just slowly (this is also common for miata's). There are two scratches on the front bumper however they are covered up if you run the front license plate (that is what caused the scratches). Other than these listed minor things the car is perfect and you will find no surprises when you come and drive away in a perfect top down fun car.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
