2000 Turbo Miata
*** Can the mods close this post for me? I've started taking the car apart and it's no longer for sale as it's listed here. ***
The time has come to part ways with my 2000 turbo Miata. I found a 1962 Ford F100 truck that has become my primary project and will remains so for quite some time. As such, the Miata needs a new home. I wanted to post it here in case anyone was interested. If I can't sell it as is, I'll be taking it apart sometime soon and the car and turbo parts will be listed separately. So... here's the specs 2000 Miata with full MKTurbo kit @ 10 psi. It's been boosted since February and I've put almost 8,000 miles on the kit so far. MS3 PNP Pro ecu w/EBC, AEM wideband controller and Flyin' Miata boost gauge. Street tuned it myself after watching Evans Performance videos. 460 CC Flow Force injectors. Fresh water pump, cam seals, timing belt, thermostat, and front main seal. Radiator was upgraded to a Mishimoto large core. Recently redid the brakes with Flyin' Miata's rotors, pads, and braided lines. Flushed the brake system at the same time. The suspension was the next thing on my list for a rebuild. It currently on stock springs with Koni shocks. Miata Roadster short shifter. Tires are good all the way around. Only 149,000 miles. Interior is in decent shape. Comes with an OEM hard top with defrost in the rear glass. Still has the soft top, as well. It's been folded up for a while, but last time I needed it it was fine with no holes. I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting. The only thing that's wrong with the car is that I think it needs a new clutch. I installed a Flyin' Miata stage 1 happy meal about a year and a half ago, and I think I've damaged some of the springs in the clutch pack. There's a noticeable metallic tink when taking off from a dead stop. The clutch also shudders at engagement sometimes. I was going to install an ACT clutch, but it doesn't affect drivability, so I just left it alone. It could be something else entirely, though. It isn't a perfect example of an NB. There was some front end damage at some point in it's life; some sheet metal was damaged under the fender. It could use new headlights, the current ones are cloudy. I've restored them once already, and they need the same treatment again. Paint is a little rough in two spots (front passenger fender and deck lid). It's got a few minor dents and dings. I have it listed locally for $6500. If someone will come get it as it is, I'll take $6000 and not a penny less so don't waste your time if you think I'll come off of it even more. I've also got all the parts to put it back to stock that will go with the car. If you have any questions, ask. I don't currently have good pics of the interior, but I'll get those later today and add them to the post. If I don't get any bites, look for the parts to be for sale soon. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...b221157f79.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...e1d3517866.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...106fb08d2c.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...94c8bb26bc.jpg |
Nice car, and seems like a solid price. Is it a 5 speed? Do you know what rearend is in it?
|
Trans is a 5 speed. I always contemplated switching to a 6 speed, but with the turbo there's no need. The rear end is limited slip, but I have no idea about the gear ratio.

Sorry to see it go. Hopefully you enjoyed the boost while you had it. Good luck with the sale.

Bump! How did this one go? Did you sell it already?
Looks like a solid car that has received attention from its owner. I am not super happy about the color but who cares it's not my mx-5 :) |
