Other than bandaids... looks like best deal on here in ages.

Glad I'm just at the beginning of my break from cars and don't have the time to do a roadtrip.

Legacy member! I like the sound of that :-)

We've got our first little one on the way and that, combined with not really havnig given this car the attention it deserves the last few years, I've decided it's time to let someone else have some fun with it!

First, congrats on the new addition. There's nothing better.

Nice looking car.
Couple questions:
- you mention not giving it much attention the last few years - has the car been sitting or has it been getting at least a little regular exercise?
- I know you're in FL now, but that doesn't mean the car has always been there. So, any rust? The pics look like the body is fine. How's the underside? Suspension?
- Leaking or using any fluids? oil/coolant/tranny/diff/blinker...etc
- how much boost have you been running it at? Ever dyno it? Data or guesstimates as to the HP or TQ?
- is it due for timing/water pump or have you done that?

Where in FL is it? I'm headed down to the Orlando area this weekend and will be around for a couple weeks. Perhaps I could meet up with you somewhere to see it in person.

(Apparently, I have to blast through 15 posts in order to be deemed worthy of sending PM's. If you PM me your email address, we can correspond that way if its easier for you.)

Thanks, man, my wife and I are pretty darn excited :-D

I guess what I meant when I said I hadn't given it much attention the last few years is that I was once quite active on this forum and others and was working on making the car better regularly. As you can imagine, the turbo kit adds some complexity, and so there was always something to be tweaked or improved. Sometime a few years ago, some close car friends of mine moved away, and it seemed my interest in tweaking the car waned.

That said, I've driven the car nearly daily for the 11 years I've owned it. We were a two car family, so this was my own primary transportation. So with that said, it had to be reliable: no, I don't believe it leaks or burns any oil to speak of. Always did regular oil changes with good quality filters and synthetic oil, accessory belts, etc. One thing that did make me think of, though, is that one of my steel intercooler pipes rubbed a pin-sized hole in the aluminum high-pressure A/C hard line a few years ago, leaked all the R12 out, and I never bothered to fix it and get it converted to R134a.

It's always been in Florida to my knowledge and has a few spots of surface, cosmetic rust. I'm talking pin-head-sized spots on a couple body panels that could just be hit with some touch-up paint.

I've been running ~6-10PSI over the years, depending on configuration. The custom boost controller I have is not always predictable, so I typically set it for ~7-8PSI, and sometimes it'll swing up to 10-11. My guess is that it makes ~160rwhp, but it's never been dyno'd. The timing belt and water pump were done ~80k miles, so I'm assuming those are good for a bit longer (every ~80k, right?).

Thanks, man :-)

Looks like the baby may be coming much earlier than expected, so I'll try to be as up front and communicative as I can with the interested parties so far, but ----'s about to get real
