I have a 2004 Mazda Mazdaspeed MX-5 for sale, in USA - Maine.

Mileage: 47,800 miles
Engine Size: 1.8

Asking price is $12,500

Hey all, I think the time has finally come to sell my Mazdaspeed. It's a 2004 Velocity Red GT package. Leather and Cloth roof. The car has 47,500 miles on it, but I'm still driving it, so that could go up by a few hundred. No dents or dings. De-badged front bumper. Excellent condition. Royal Purple oil changes at 4K intervals Since purchase. The car is mostly stock. Mods/extras below:

- 15x7 Rota slipstream wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires, only 4K miles on them.
- Hard Dog Hard Core Double Diagonal Roll Bar with padding
- Factory small side-skirts added (professionally painted to match)
- OEM hardtop from 1990 (no defrost), professionally painted to match
- Flyin' Miata full intake kit.
- H&R Race Springs on stock shocks. I still have the factory springs, and I'll include those as well.
- Factory accessory Blue weather-proof car cover
- Autometer boost gauge with silver face to match interior in single-gauge pod on driver's side A-pillar.
- factory floor mats

Never driven during the winter while I've owned it. Doesn't appear to have been driven in the winters prior to my ownership, as it's rust free and clean.

Vehicle History: I bought the car from a dealership outside of Chigaco in late January of 2009. When I bought the car, it had a clean car fax. Last autumn, some lady backed into my front bumper while parallel parking, and her trailer receiver hitch put a hole in the front bumper. The front bumper was replaced and repainted by a fantastic shop. It was a low-speed 5MPH thing. I'm sure there's a carfax incident for it, because I called the police when it happened. I can show pics of the damage before it was repaired, and I have the full service bill of the repair. This was 100% cosmetic, and the frame was never impacted. Other than that, the car has had zero issues.

Car is located in Portland, Maine and is available for test drives.

Price: $12,500.

PRICE DROP: $11,000 for everything. Or $10,000 without hardtop and roll bar.

That's some pretty severe depreciation! $100/day

Nice car.

I linked it our local miata site (maritimemiataclub... its only a few hours away really)

Seems like a good deal!

Yeah, I dropped the price because I'm just trying to get it gone. I found a new car I want at a great price, but I have a lien on this one. The new car I want is private party, otherwise I'd just trade it in. Priced for what I hope will be a quick sale...

Anybody know how to change the title of this thread so the price is lower?

I think I'm going to end up trading this in this weekend. Found a dealer who's going to give me a decent trade!

Good luck. If this was a year from now I would be busting down your door.

This thread pisses me off cause there will be a Miata on the dealer lot next spring for $14,500 that he got for pennies.

Trade for a 98 CRV???

Faeflora 12-09-2010 09:22 AM

Enjoy your dealer assfuckery. What a shame. If you waited until spring you would get what you wanted for it. The dealer will probably keep it on their lot for 30 days and auction it off. le sigh

projectrally 12-12-2010 01:16 AM

There was no assfuckery. I got a 2010 PRHT touring with suspension package brand new for $22,700. And traded the MSM without the roll bar, hardtop, wheels, springs, or a handful of other good parts for $9000. That's a better deal than anybody was paying private party.
And it was $6000 off the new NC2.

I know I'd get more for it in the spring, but it was worth it to get it gone. It was a fun car, but I do too much highway driving to have the MSM as my only car. Msm has serious strengths, but highway commuter is not one of them. It stopped being fun a long time ago.
