So, I'm just at a point where I want to move onto something different, or maybe nothing at all. The car is retarded, and I've only tracked it a whopping total of five times, with four dyno sessions. Everything has been restored/replaced/rebuilt; it goes without saying, this was my dream Miata. I'm putting it up for sale while I'm at a school right now for a month, with little hope that this thing will actually sell as a whole car. Well, I'm giving it four weeks of being up for sale as a complete car before I part it out...which will be sometime in April. So, if you're interested in the car as a whole, make me an offer. If not, vultures, get ready to pounce in April when I get back into town.
If you want the car whole, it's pretty much as pictured here, with a few minor exceptions. The bumper needs to be replaced from some cone damage and I need to get some new e-fans, for which I'll pay for and fix only if I sell the car as a whole package. The paint also isn’t perfect from your normal track wear and tear. Also, every light works in this car, all of the locks work, and the hood pins are lockable. I built this to drive on the street here and there with the intentions to have working lights and be able to lock it up wherever I want. The car is currently located and registered in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. The parts list is as complete as I can think, from what you'll see, it's a pretty wild car and A LOT of custom work from A LOT of great people went into making this thing actually work and produce the numbers that it does. Summed up, the car currently runs on an AEM EMS4, Garret GTX Turbo, E85 and a complete Turbo II RX-7 Drivetrain and produced 404whp and 389wtq on 25psi. This car was also featured in three Mazda commercials including the 20-year Miata anniversary release and the 2016 ND MX5 release commercial. For print, the car was featured in D-SPORT magazine in 2014. I really don't know what to ask for this car because it's so weird, so how's about we use 25,000$ as a "jumping-off-point" and we can go from there with offers. Good luck with sale, but I feel like you will regret selling this the rest of your life. It's too "you" and has too much cultural history. If it were me I'd consider selling it at a significant discount to a friend who agreed to let you buy it back for the same discount if it ever went up for sale.
But then, I'm reading my own sentimental notions onto it. I hope you get out of it what makes you happy. |
