92 Miata running - $700?

Guys,

I bought a miata for a low price cause it had a hardtop. It took some exterior dmg but is repairable and runs fine and can be driven away. Pictures pending I'm curious if anyone would want it for 700? Its 92/Blk/113k.

Pics will be up tonight

not a bad deal

Newbsauce 11-30-2007 04:19 PM

Thanks Paul, I am glad you can appreciate it :)

paul 11-30-2007 04:29 PM

Making a profit is the American way. Anyone saying otherwise is a liberal and a liar and just hides the fact that he is making a profit. I would set an asking price of $750 for the car sans hardtop.

Braineack 11-30-2007 04:35 PM

He's obviously he's not looking to turn a profit...stop being a jew-canoe.

Loki047 11-30-2007 04:36 PM

If there is no rust I would be on this in a second. DIBS MOTHER FUCKERS. He's a j-o-o

Braineack 11-30-2007 04:38 PM

ha i told brad you were looking for exactly this and why he should buy it and post here.

Newbsauce 11-30-2007 04:38 PM

I'm not making a profit, I'm merely offering the parts off the car I don't want. Everyone here is kind of my friend, so I figured less then I paid is fine, considering I could easily sell it on m.net or ebay for over that.

Loki047 11-30-2007 04:41 PM

rust? Dear god let there be no rust. Please JEBUS

Braineack 11-30-2007 04:43 PM

supposedly it has an unpainted hood and other new panels....most cars around here dont rust.

Loki047 11-30-2007 04:44 PM

oh braineack, your words are like honey

Braineack 11-30-2007 04:51 PM

hahah, well brad called me up earlier and was asking if he should go for it, and i was like, well, if you wanna unload it, loki is looking for a clean shell, having a running engine doesn't hurt. so i had your curly locks in mind the whole time.

Loki047 11-30-2007 04:56 PM

Damn, brain. I do believer your getting sweet on me. Thank you.

shuiend 11-30-2007 11:12 PM

Brad if your willing to hold on to it tell Jan I would gladly take it off your hands.

harleybutter 11-30-2007 11:29 PM

nester 11-30-2007 11:34 PM

Pics, I am interested. $ in hand.

cardriverx 11-30-2007 11:56 PM

If you wanted to part with the finish panel... hit me up.

nester 12-01-2007 06:46 PM

This thing sold yet?

kotomile 12-01-2007 06:53 PM

Oh man, if you were local this would SO be sold to me.

Braineack 12-01-2007 09:34 PM

I think the guy sold it under Brad's nose, he's still trying to get in touch with him....last I heard he made a deal, but it seems the guy isn't answering his calls :(

paul 12-01-2007 11:54 PM

thats fucked up. the guy did put "Best offer" in the ad which can go either way. i bet he ended up wanting more money once he saw how much interest there was.

y8s 12-02-2007 10:49 AM

if he did, get robert's front-half clip and leave it on his lawn.

harleybutter 12-02-2007 12:51 PM

I think it went to Mike Collins of Meathead racing. He just posted on another site that he picked up an 1992 black, hardtop, tan seats, BBS rims and frontal damage.

paul 12-02-2007 02:50 PM

that is so DICK!

whats was that site again? http://spamyourenemies.com

miatanutz 12-02-2007 02:53 PM

This scenario isnt really unusual or unexpected....when someone is pretty much giving a car and/or parts away you have to be the first there with cash and not spend any time thinking about it.

nester 12-02-2007 03:44 PM

oh well.

Braineack 12-02-2007 07:21 PM

yeah well the guy made a deal with brad.. i agree, first with cash, however i told brad to call back and pick it up that night, he called back ten minutes after first agreeing on a price and day/time to meet and never got a hold of him.

miatanutz 12-02-2007 09:50 PM

I know what you mean.
Its not the 'nice' way to do biz...its just par for the course in my experience, especially if youre trying to buy from any distance or schedule a meet or trip etc and there is someone on the scene with cash. Sellers that give stuff away will generally do so to the first person they see with cash...regardless of who they talked to or 'made deals' with previously. I have been on both sides of that as a buyer.

Newbsauce 12-03-2007 10:33 AM

Yeah, so I told the guy i'd pick it up sunday and he said he'd send me pictures that night. I called him back like 10 minutes later to inform him I'd show up today. He never called me back. I'd imagine that he ended up getting a higher offer and then ignoring me. He's a piece of shit, and unfortunately for him I now have his work number and reverse looked it up :)
