Ecotec Turbo allofit build 343whp/449wtq
I've enjoyed the heck out of this car for the past 8 years, and it's time for it to be enjoyed by someone else. It's an absolute beast. In the words of 18psi "drives like a v8". Holds temps on the track, and generally puts a massive grin on your face wherever you choose to open it up. Thoughtfully and carefully built over years of loving ownership, over several iterations that spawned FlowForce products.
2002, 128k miles on the chassis Engine (3 years, 3000 miles or so old): Sort block built by ZZP with all new parts - New gen 3 LE5 (2.4L ecotec) block, forged pistons 10.4:1, connecting rods, and all the goodies. good for 500whp, they say (https://zzperformance.com/collection...4l-short-block) Ecotec miata swap kit Stage 3 ported head, oversize inconel valves, 82lb springs, neutral balance shafts, and all the bits to rev to 8000. K04 "big wheel" turbo with a new stock manifold. This is the stock turbo from a LNF, with a billet compressor wheel. This thing is maxed at the moment, so if you want more power, get an EFR from ZZP (which they call a ZFR) which will bolt right in and take you to the moon. Custom 3 inch turbo back, sexy center exit exhaust Fuel supplied by FlowForce 960cc injectors and a DW200 Flex fuel MS3 pro evo Custom professional harness Vladitune Drivetrain: DDM 450ft/lb street-style clutch with light weight aluminum flywheel. Holding like a champ. New solstice transmission (good for 500whp+, it's been said), with Ecotec Miata install kit custom drive shaft, rated to 500whp+ 3.6 ring and pinion, Torsen The rest: Suspension - Xida XL 550/350 Wheels - Nearly new 15x10 Decagrams wrapped in barely broken in RS4 (245/40/15, naturally) Roll bar, door bars 5 point harness, with 3-point seatbelts and airbags retained comfy Kirkey aluminum seats properly depowered rack and more... Washington title with rebuilt brand. You won't be able to register this in CA. $12.9k. Not a single reply...
I don't know how there's not any interest in this, such a powerhouse, and that motor....
Is this car still available? Do you have the stock seats still? Do the heat and a/c work still, wipers, lights, all that? Thanks, Jeff |
Thanks Jeff, I got some interest over on Facebook and an out of state buyer was quite keen to come pick it up, but I don't think he's going to come through.
It's an absolute hoot, and whoever gets it next is going to have a lot of fun. I don't have the stock seats, and there is no A/C. However, everything else works - lights, wipers, heat, cruise control, etc. The speedo, tacho and fuel gauges on the dash work, and for the rest I run a tablet off the ECU for the full range of extra gauges. |
Bumping this up. I stored it in a dry warm garage over the winter and transferred the registration to Washington. Back up for sale at a new price :)

What is the new price?
My only issue is that it doesn't have AC. How hard is that to add? |

My only issue is that it doesn't have AC. How hard is that to add? The car had A/C originally, so it's likely possible to do it. But with the engine swap, space in the engine bay is at a premium. The radiator I'm running fits with A/C. Just think, you'll be going so fast you won't need A/C  |
Gave it another price adjustment :)

If the IRS wasn't coming after me and my funds were free I'd pick this thing up. Anyone know a good tax lawyer lol
|
Hi, did the car end up selling? Not exactly what I was looking for, but looks like it would be a fun toy. Let me know.
