FEELER: 2004 MSM ARTech/EFR/XIDA/PuddyMod/15x10 RC-1 Track Ready 330whp Ti #2373

Just putting this feeler out there but am by no means pressured to sell the car. It would be nice if I could get the number in my mind for it because that would basically pay off the remaining 2 years of my college education, which is the only real reason for even creating this listing. I'm also getting rid of a few firearms so if those sell first, this may negate the sale of the car. I do not know the value of the car in the current market, but I've invested a LOT of parts and time into this build to make it as complete and reliable as possible. The chassis has 85,000 miles on it, engine has 6,500 miles with 4 good blackstone oil analysis results.
The idea with this build was to have a track ready streetable car. I drove it on the street for 1.5 years before taking it to the track. At the track, we figured out weak spots and fixed the issues, such as upgrading water lines and building a heat shield for the turbo. I'm sure there are still some issues that may arise in the future, but for now, the car has been performing well for me. It was tuned by Ken Hill, a former FlyinMiata employee and tuner, so that part of the build is also rock solid. Build currently makes 330whp and 310wtq on 20psi, I believe the turbo can handle up to 25psi, and you could always bolt an EFR6758 directly in it's place and crank the power output to 400whp easily, and close to 500whp if you run E85 though you'd need some different fuel system components. This is barely visible and can probably be repaired fairly inexpensively if you fix it soon. A few photos of the car, although I'm sure most are familiar with the build since I've documented much of it on the forum. One other downside is if you cannot get around emissions, you probably cannot get this car to run with OEM injectors and ECU (which I do still have) due to all of the missing EGR/oxygen sensors/removed VTCS, etc. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1467034179 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1467034179 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1467034179 showing that we actually took the time to set correct clearances https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1467034179 Blackstone results. The latest test with elevated lead is from 2 track events and according to Blackstone is not a concern. Drain plus has been clean every oil change For videos of the car in action, go check out my YouTube channel under the name of Cleanneon98. For the sake of a starting price point, I'm going to shoot for the stars and maybe I'll hit the moon. I know I won't get the listing price because people will try to negotiate down, so lets open the bidding at $20,000. Just the aftermarket parts topple that price by a bit, so you're essentially getting the car, labor, and tuning for nothing. If you were building an MSM, there's not much missing from this car that you could possibly want. Still has working AC and PS and full interior, leather seats, MP3 connectivity, etc. Here's a few photos of me with a basically stock MSM to show differences. You can clearly see the fender roll/pull in some of these comparison photos, and the power output is almost exactly double of stock for both horsepower and torque. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1467034179 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1467034179 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1467034179 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1467034179 |
saw this on M-S yesterday and got kind of sad: this car is great and hopefully will go to someone that will appreciate it.
When you consider the price of clean MSM's these days, 20k is realistic for this bad boy. |

That said I feel like if someone gave me a really decent offer on it, I'd be kind of stupid not to let it go because it only takes one asshole on the street or one noob on the track to hit me and I lose a lot more, and insurance doesn't cover any of the extras on the car. Just don't know if I have it in me yet, and if it comes to it might be one of the hardest choices I'll make up to that point in my life. I may cry a little |

I agree with 18psi. There aren't too many Miatas out there that are worth $20k, but IMO this would be one of them.
GLWS if you do decide to sell. Chunk of change, but worth it. |
We're almost parts twins! Keep it!

Did a timed run this morning, these RC-1 tires get a ton of traction off the line now that it's warmer out (was about 85 and super muggy today), I was able to squeeze out a 0-60 run of 4.2 seconds. This thing boogies and you can too |
Why is this sounding like a sales pitch when you're keeping your car?
|
Its a sales pitch to himself, to keep the car. I'd be awfully disappointed if you sold this car before I got to drive it.
|
That is a sweet ride, good luck with sale.
Pssh who am I kidding. Sell the weapons. Buy a beater civic. Enjoy this hotness forever. |

You couldn't have put this up for sale last year... I would have flown out and given you 20 no questions asked.
ughhhhhh. Dont sell it. 1. As soon as you sell it, you lose the money you've spent. 2. If you sell it, you will wish you hadn't, in the future, and will end up spending more money doing a similar build, or buying a similar car. 3. You can't enjoy it much if you don't own it. 4. Dont sell it. 5. You don't have much debt. 6. I'm dumb and can't think of any more reasons. 7. Dont sell it. 8. We can set up a crowd funding site to help you pay off your loans. 9. I'll donate 100 dollars to you if you promise to not sell the car. We can sign a binding document or something. 10. we will haze and shun you on this site, if you sell the car. |
Put it into a catfish

I am in PA also. If you ever happen to lower the price to $15 thousand dollars, i will quickly purchase this Miata from you. Great looking build, glws.
