Name: Lawrence Chappe means of contact: Email at Lawrencechappe@yahoo.com call/text (305) 457-8338 Location: Virginia Beach, VA. PRICE: $6500 OBO. (any reasonable offers wont be turned down) OK; I bought this miata LS in 2006 from a dealeship in Ohio. The car was perfect then, 42K miles and completely stock. Shortly after i got some FM springs, Illuminas and started autocrossing. That's when it started. Since then i've been thru TS1, Azenis, Yoko Slicks ect.. A hit and run, and a bunch of other shit. Well, as of now, the car sits as the following: the goods: -adj Tokiko Illuminas -FM front sway bar -adj links -ebay strut bar -GC coilovers spring rates 475F 350R (im returning to stock springs, but im keeping the coilovers for the buyer) -Racing Beat (power pulse) axle back exhaust -Custom DIY Intake -ebay steering wheel -Pioneer head unit (Touch screen navigation system) -HID's (low beam only) -all red tail lights -removed foam from drivers seat (to sit lower, like a bucket seat, just cheap) -Sportmax 501 wheels 15x8 +15mm -Good top -new tires The BAD: -the car has been hit in the front and back the dents were pulled out but the job needs to be finished. -front lip is scratched due to lowness and hitting cones autocrossing. -the navigation screen is cracked. very easy fix, you can take it to circuit city or send it in to pioneer and have a $1500 navi in your whip.. or, FM salvage sells the stock bose. -the horn is out. its prob a fuse on the engine bay, ive been to lazy lately to look. Oil changes happen religiously, car is overall well taken care of and mechanically perfect. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/DSCF4576.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/DSCF4573.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/DSCF4575.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/DSCF4572.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/DSCF4577.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/100_0546.jpg this is now http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/DSCF4578.jpg before the screen broke http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...100_0460-1.jpg this picture is before i ws hit on that side. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...w/000_0470.jpg |
Also, the crank, cam, and some other crap sensors were changed as per the manual at around 65K miles... I have receipts for some of the maint and parts i got for the car.
What do you guys think?? is the price alright.. i mean, honestly.
for a car that's been autocrossed a lot, and in a few accidents... I'd honestly say it's a few grand high.
$4500-$5200...not a cent more. That car is beat.
i would def take ~$5500 for it... and i wouldnt say the car is beat. All it really need is fix the minor things in the body and a paint job... Nothing else is wrong with it. And, AutoXing doesnt really beat the car. The oil is changed every 1k-3k miles, i have receipts for maintenance. Its not perfect, but it isnt beat. The miles are lower than most cars that old, by at least 10k-15k miles..
All that got damaged on the "accidents" was the body, there's no damage to anything else. The headlight is perfect, and so is everything else... you can see on the pic of the engine bay.
Auto-x doesn't beat on the car? Were you not driving? Lol
What is SO beating about autoX?... driving your car hard for around a minute at a time.. Beats the car MUCH less than just driving it around the street and getting on the gas every now and then, needless to say any other motorsport... AutoX does absolutely nothing to your car. The engine was designed to rev up to 7K rpm, and just be driven. You do nothing that "beats" it more than jst driving around.. Except that you drive it MUCH less..
Maybe it you say the tires wear fast, and my front lip is scratched from hitting cones (on the corners) the stuff in the middle is from the car being low... AutoX is much more safer than boost, and that's not even that big of a deal as long as you maintain your engine properly. thanks ;) |
That's a $4500 car if you are lucky. It looks to have been beat on every time it was driven. Your mods don't add anything to the car, they actually lower the value to most buyers. If you want to sell it for anything close to your asking price, get the body work done and return it to stock.

It's beat... body and paint damage? That's not a "small" fix for the non-body shop owner. I mean to have paint done properly will be expensive as-is. You should be looking for around 4.5k and a minivan for yourself. |
