Newbsauce 05-25-2007 03:12 PM

lol I blew the motor... well technically not the motor, more like a ring. It will be back up in about 2 weeks with a bulletproof 1.6ish.

Braineack 05-25-2007 03:16 PM

i tend to doubt you did it...but whatever....

The VIN is JM1NA3513M0215660. Can you tell if it short or long nose?

91's are long nose 1.6's

slutz4 05-25-2007 10:15 PM

the early 91 miatas were still shortnose I believe

The car in this thread is vin #215660
You have nothing to worry about. If you have a 1991 with VIN 209447 or more, you're safe.

VERY early 91s only. I've had two 91's that were built in late 90 and both are long nose, and both by a wide margin.

I wouldn't be afraid of a short nose motor though, especially one with such low miles that probably hasn't had the TB touched.
