Nice track car. Not a race car. Race cars have safety cages. But nice car.

To be fair, if this car came through even HPDE tech it might have to get approval from a higher-up on the seats. Can’t mix non-racing seats with harnesses. This setup is in a gray area. Technically I think it’s a no-go, but if the belts are routed correctly and the shoulder harness angle is correct with the driver strapped in, I’m guessing it could get passed. Or maybe those seats have a certification I don’t know about.

I haven’t tech’d this car, but I feel like I may have seen it at a NASA NorCal event. Lots of red Miatas on the track though.

Also, I wish my street car had this few miles and paint in this condition. Yeowza. Gorgeous. Original paint?

Sorry maybe I think to well of the things I have. TRACK CAR IT IS!
I will get engine bay pictures shortly.
The motor/transmission/diff(entire drivetrain) is all original minus the AC delete and the cruise control delete and believe it or not doesn't drink any oil at the track.
I followed the handbook that came with the scroth harnesses. I trust my life with the setup. Even had fabricator strengthen the seatbelt mounting point.
The paint is all original. Not one panel has been resprayed :)

It's beautiful.

Ironically, getting $21k for it might be easier for an 18,000 mile NA8 if it was bone stock.

Emilio you make a good point. This car is just in a odd spot. Its modified with high quality parts(thanks to you) with low mileage. I am open to taking offers. I just really don't know what this example is worth and want to make sure I get a fair price and so does the buyer.

The input is not about how awesome your car is, but what it is. You've got a crazy-low-mile car with amazing paint and a really nice suspension. I'm sure it's fun on track, but it's not a race car for several reasons, including those identified by sixshooter.

That's nice. My point is that if the purchaser were to bring this car to some random track day, they might run into issues getting approved to go on track. It'll depend on the organization. If I bought an all-the-money "track car" and got sent home from an HPDE because the belt/seat setup failed tech, I'd be pissed. It doesn't matter that you followed the directions for the harnesses. Track day groups have rules for how belts and seats must be set up. I'm noting for you and others that what you have may not pass for some (very large) groups.

Truly, good luck with sale, it's a beautiful car and has some very nice components.

Long story short the used car, an 2018 OG M2 I purchased last week which was going to replace my Miata, I returned to the dealership. Being the first dealership purchase I have done, I thought I could trust them and skip a full underbody inspection. The car I picked up had holes drilled into floorboard to accommodate a previous roll bar. The dealership was aware of these holes and failed to disclose the information. Fortunately I fought for the chance to return the car. Due to this outcome and the new car I purchased just not working out, guess I just better not sell the Miata. This tread may be deleted.

The car is no longer for sale.

IMHO - those seats are fine - OEM Lotus Exige seats.
