Caroline Stern and George Hess arrested for dancing on New York City subway platform | Mail Online
It started to go to ---- when the cop asked for ID and the woman only had a credit card with her. And went from bad to worse when the man started to video record the incident. "Papers please!" |
dont worry. Holder will get right on that!
wait, n/m they are white. |
cops no better than to jail brown people for a lack of ID.

On a slightly different tangent.
PD's across the country are getting less accountable to the neighborhoods they're in. One of the causes is the militarization of PD's, through funding from the Fed Gov for APC's and stuff like that. Look at the uniforms of lots of cops these days. Battle fatigues and military style boots, instead of the blue outfits with pointy hats of old. |

On an UNrelated note, I need to get that suppressor, lol. |
Cop fucked up. The US is not a country where failure to provide an ID is grounds for arrest. The only time it warrant an arrest is if you are being legally detained. So if you get pulled over by a cop and cant show your drivers license, you can be arrested. If you are on the street and you arent doing anything against the law no one has the right to ask you for papers.

She was obstructing foot traffic on an empty subway platform.

DWB is one such reason. Driving while brown. Happened to a friend's son.

In Arizona we need to be able to provide ID. They can take you in if you cannot prove citizenship with IDs.

Oh, and most municipalities get their fortification from seizing property from criminals not from the government.

that's different. ---- those road blocks.

We have those every friday/saturday night.... "Were just trying to save lights by checking for drunk drivers" or any thing else we can ticket you on. One of your lights aren't working? Here's a gift. Your muffler too loud? Here's another one.

It's to protect all of us. If you worked a day in East Saint Louis, you may have a greater appreciation for what we do. Criminals these days are way more fortified than any police out there. Did you just see the news? Colorado theater just got shot up by some nutcase. You think I'm not going to use an APC against him? Try working the other side for a bit. Just like the military, someone shoots at you, you better be able defend yourself and others around you. No way would I have even bothered her but to say cops aren't being held responsible? That's a slap in the face. You don't see anything outside of the video. Therefore it's subject.
