I don't understand why the US is OK with giving weapons that I'm not allowed to buy to terrorists.

Since invading Afghanistan in 2001, the United States has spent $2.26 trillion on the war, which includes operations in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. Note that this total does not include funds that the United States government is obligated to spend on lifetime care for American veterans of this war, nor does it include future interest payments on money borrowed to fund the war. The Costs of War Project also estimates that 241,000 people have died as a direct result of this war. These figures do not include deaths caused by disease, loss of access to food, water, infrastructure, and/or other indirect consequences of the war. The figures for Afghanistan are part of the larger costs of the U.S. post-9/11 wars, which extend to Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and elsewhere. But now that I believe in federal holidays, election fraud, and dislike masks, I'm expecting a care package to show up any day now. |

...Which Biden promptly ignored, leaving the troops there past May 1st while simultaneously doing jack shit to "protect translators" or whatever the fuck else, pissing all over the agreement. You'll notice it's fucking August?
I was told Biden was going to be better than the bumbling idiot who had no right to be president, guess not. |

Oh, well as long as the Biden has made an "extensive request" for support in a future budget, I guess it's going to be fine. No matter that the country/embassy fell within 72hrs and we handed a terrorist insurgent group a massive weapons cache. There's no way we could have even attempted to move military grade weapons, munitions, and equipment to a country less likely to use those against us.
the Taliban now owns more apache helicopters than 166 other countries across the globe. helicopters that I paid for and should be used to push commies out of, not to be pulled by goats. |
