As in "You literally will spend every waking hour of your life either at work or in your car. No sleeping. And your entire paycheck will go into your gas tank."



So, yeah. Some people get what they deserve...

Twitter's just a medium like anything else. You can follow a bunch of vapid people and perpetuate the nonsense, sure.

But I like it. I follow some writers and comedians I like, a bunch of sports news/updates accounts, handful of people I know personally, and that's about it. And since the "famous" people I follow are not really famous people, but more like regular people who have actually done something cool, they actually run their own twitter account and interact with people! I can ask them a question or make a comment and they will respond and carry on a conversation. I like that aspect of it.

Also, I have a weird thing where in 2011 I was watching an episode of Cops and a guy's name appeared on screen and I tweeted about it...and my tweet has been the top Google result for that name for the last 6 years. So every couple of months, whenever that episode of Cops re-runs, I get a handful of likes and retweets and replies from people who are watching the same episode.

In fact, Toni the Tampon isn't a female character either. Clemmer created the tampon, who goes by a gender-ambiguous name, as a form of representation for genderqueer people with periods. The artist was intentional about bringing diverse gender representation to the book's cast of characters, hoping to create something that was "affirming to all menstruators."

Clemmer admits the decision to include genderqueer and transgender characters undoubtedly makes the coloring book harder to market in a world that largely believes only women get periods. But risking profits and popularity in the name of inclusivity and accurate depiction was more important to the artist.

"I'd rather help just one genderqueer or trans menstruator feel like they were seen, than sell a thousand copies only to reinforce the boundaries society draws by gendering periods in the first place,” Clemmer says.

This program requires two years of full time study at the university’s....All students complete six credits of coursework related to higher education and 12 credits of coursework
I will admit to being ignorant of typical Master's Degrees requirements, but in my undergrad, I often had to do 18 credits in a semester, what are they doing that takes 2 years?

A male student who was expelled from Drake University after a woman took advantage of him while he was drunk and later accused him or raping her is now suing the institution for failing to rectify the situation.

According to Reason.com,
the incident took place on October 8, 2015. The male – referred to in the case as “John Doe” – met with the female (Jane Doe) at the campus bakery after midnight.

Both had been to house parties that night. In his lawsuit, John claims he was heavily intoxicated after consuming large amounts of beer and whiskey.

In her complaint to Drake University, Jane alleged she was also drunk. Investigators subsequently found she was exaggerating and witnesses refute her claim that she was stumbling while going to meet John.
