Man wounded in East Harlem after pointing gun at police

EAST HARLEM, New York (PIX11) — Two police officers shot and wounded a man who pointed a gun at them early Sunday in East Harlem.

The suspect was listed in critical but stable condition at New York Cornell Medical Center after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds in the confrontation.

Officers recovered the .22 caliber revolver a suspect pointed at them during a confrontation in East Harlem. (NYPD)

The man, whose name has not yet been released by police, fled on foot when officers responded to a 911 call about a disorderly group at the Washington Houses at 215 E 102 St at about 2 a.m. He then turned and pointed a .22 caliber revolver at the officers, who both fired back, police said.

The officers recovered the suspect’s weapon and were treated at St. Luke’s Hospital for ringing in the ears.

LiveLeak.com - Police Fatally Shoot Grandfather, 72, While Searching Wrong home

Police in Fort Worth, Texas, are blaming "poor lighting" after two
officers went to the wrong home in search of a possible burglar and
ended up shooting a 72-year-old man dead in his garage. The officers,
who are both in their first year with Fort Worth PD, were responding to a
burglary alarm on May 28 when the tragic mistake occurred. "Due to poor
lighting conditions, and officers attempting to arrive on the scene
undetected," the cops approached the home of Jerry Waller by mistake,
according to an affidavit. The house they were actually supposed to go
to was across the street. The two officers, B.B Hanlon and Arpie
Hoeppner, were searching around the home with their flashlights when
Waller emerged from his home armed with a handgun, investigating who was
walking around his property with flashlights.
recurring theme: cops kill innocent people defending their own homes.

Video Shows Deputy Pry Open Woman's Mouth After She Takes Tylenol - informationliberation

A woman was injured and then charged with resisting arrest after a Summit County sheriff’s deputy pried open her jaw after she took prescription Tylenol.

The incident took place in a prisoner-holding room in domestic relations court where Siobhan Householder, 35, said she was told to wait last week while a warrant was being lifted on a charge of failing to appear at a hearing.

The Akron woman went to court on her own May 8 and said she didn’t believe she was in custody and, therefore, felt free to take the Tylenol for a tooth infection.

A sheriff’s spokesman, however, said Wednesday that the woman was in custody and she was stopped from taking the medication for her own protection.

Cops Raid Wrong Home, Shoot Innocent Woman Cowering In Closet; Absolve Themselves Of Responsibility & Loot Taxpayers For $650,000 To Pay Settlement - informationliberation

Cops Raid Wrong Home, Shoot Innocent Woman Cowering In Closet; Absolve Themselves Of Responsibility & Loot Taxpayers For $650,000 To Pay Settlement
Chris | InformationLiberation

Nassau County, New York police officers raided the wrong home and shot an innocent woman in the chest while she reportedly cowered in a closet begging police not to shoot her. The police claim the officer who shot her with his assault rifle did so because his gun fired "accidentally."

Rather than risk trial, police chose instead to absolve themselves of any responsibility and loot taxpayers to pay the woman a $650,000 settlement.

Newsday reports:

A Hempstead woman shot by a Nassau County police officer searching for suspected drug dealers who lived in the apartment below her has reached a $650,000 settlement with the county, according to her attorney and court records.

Iyanna Davis was shot in 2010, once in the breast, by a bullet that then went through her abdomen and both thighs, by an officer who said his assault rifle went off accidentally, court records say. Davis was never charged with any crime and the officer was cleared by an internal police investigation of any wrongdoing.

[...]Davis' case was among those featured in a Newsday article looking into the Nassau police department's use of deadly force. The article said that shootings by the police were ruled by internal investigations to be justified, even when the circumstances may have been questionable.

Davis, who was 22 when she was shot, has said that when the officers burst into her building, she hid in a closet because she thought they were armed robbers. "I told them I was afraid and do not shoot me, and one officer screamed at me to put my hands above my head," she said in a deposition. "That's when I heard the shot and I felt myself sit down because the force actually knocked me back on my backside."

Though the actual police internal investigation is sealed because of a confidentiality agreement, Horn has said it was filled with "inaccuracies" in order to justify the shooting that he termed "reckless."

Among the inaccuracies was the claim that "had her jumping out of the closet," Horn has said.

Regardless of the facts, none of it matters as police have a "get out jail free card" in the form of looting taxpayers to pay out for their own criminal negligence.

here's let me help you take your prescription:

Video: Cop Violently Wrestles Mother to the Ground, Pries Mouth Open to Retrieve Tylenol Taken in Court Waiting Room : Appalachian Area News

Surveillance footage shows Summit County Sheriffs Deputy Eric Vaughan wrestle the mother of three to the ground and proceed to violently remove the medication from her mouth.

Slamming her head into the floor and pulling her hair, Vaughan straddles the female and tries to pull her teeth apart.

At one point, as the officer has Householder mounted, he picks up her prescription bottle from the floor and casually observes that it is in fact Tylenol. This does not stop him from continuing the onslaught.

After calling for backup, four additional officers quickly raced to the scene to assist. One can be seen aiding Vaughan by mounting the girls back and handcuffing her while he puts his knee on her upper shoulder and neck.

...

Householder was taken to a hospital ER to be treated for her injuries where she was released with summonses on charges of resisting arrest and obstructing ‘official business.’
recurring theme: if you don't have anything to charge them with, charge them with resiting and obstructing.

Hmmmm - the ovarians.
You are saying that was a good thing or bad thing or just a thing?
I think that some old friend and family friends and relatives were initially happy to see me post to FB. After some posts that were not pictures of pies or birds or puppies, and the like, the ovarians mostly didn't unfriend me but did stop following.
