Yeah. Ford was pretty explicit in their plans to lose weight and add IRS.
The current s197 is the best handling Mustang to date, and Im sure this gen will be ever better.

Yes please.

Big up's to Ford, i've been seeing a ton of these driving around in camo. My dad says he has one where he works, in Dearborn... Getting an "upgrade".
These numbers are making me sad that mazda is partnered with Fiat for the ND.

Also disappointed to hear it is the same size as the current gen mustang. Was hoping for BRZ size.

...Hoping for BRZ size? That was NEVER gonna happen.

I was kinda hoping it would shrink too, but as long as it drops weight who cares. Weight>size

^hadn't seen that photo before. Love it. I feel like it's a good balance between muscular and sleek, and I really like that it has styling cues from older mustangs without going retro.

They don't? What site are we on again?

That angle isn't as bad, but it's still not a pretty car to me. Too busy, too many intersecting angles, too much of a mix of different shapes. Sharp curves, gentle sweeping curves, sharp angles, blunt angles. And those headlights... Might as well call it a Taurus Sport Coupe. Hideous may have been overstating my dislike of the car, but I have seen better Mustangs, like the current model.

I have his weird taste too...looks like ****. Honestly I feel the mustang skips a generation for me to like it. 65-66 fastback, hottest mustang ever. 67-68, decent. 69-70 (fastback) awesome, 71- whenever...absolutely hideous. 70 whenever cobra II, awesome. 79-85? Hideous. 86?-93, decent. 94-98, garbage. 99-04, decent. 05-09, no thanks. '10- current, yes please!

I'm not about to go out and buy one cause I'm in love with it, but to call it hideous is just plain ignorant. Also I feel like some of "you people" absolutely hate literally 99.99% of the cars coming out today. Its like a bunch of grumpy old farts, everything used to be better "back in the day".

And while I have a tendency to want to live in the past just like you, I at least attempt to embrace the future. The fact that this thing is not ugly, some would even say its nice looking, and has a bunch of new (for that car) technology, and is lighter, and better interior, and should do everything better than the previous model....well that's pretty cool to me

Just sayin.

How the **** is personal taste ignorant? The age of the car has nothing to do with it. Every decade has had plenty of butt ugly cars.

Have you bumped your head really hard lately? Your posts have been sounding increasingly retarded lately.

I'm the same way. Especially with the last 4 or 5 revisions to body design.

Needs a more original twist. Looks like a brz/ genesis. Just like the new vette, looks like a gtr/ viper. Come up with a design that makes me say "whatever that car is...is awesome".

I know it's a lot to ask, but they COULD go with a Ford ish look, and do something original, instead of taking bits and pieces from other current cars.

I like it.

If you want to talk about a car thats been ruined, go look up a 2015 WRX.

Not even wasting time on a long reply to this.

You're right. The mustang should not look like a mustang. It should look like something we've never seen before, or a Ford, whatever that means.

Now there's something I agree with

Although I think the front end is not bad, and interior is great. The side/rear and the wheels are just terrible. Very sad indeed

Not a big fan of the wheels. They're a little busy for my taste.

I had a '89, with the "turbine" wheels. A real bitch to clean those things. Simple is better in my opinion.
