Default Obama's accomplishments

Ok so I tried doing something similar to this once before on here with no success. Then the thread turned in a completely different direction.

Can somebody (preferably an obama supporter) please list some of his accomplishments, good things that would not have come without him or his policies.

This is how I just pictured you Scott.

It made me laugh.

Ps, I am not saying anything about the politics, Purely what I pictured based on Scotts comment

Well, I got out a blank sheet of paper and sat for awhile listing his positive accomplishments. Except for his taking credit for killing Bin Laden, I still have a blank sheet of paper.

I passionately dislike his healthcare bill but my daughter does have healthcare under my insurance even though she's moved out and is no longer going to college. You can argue it isn't a good thing but it's a good thing for me. The Supreme Court will likely negate this one by election day, anyway.

While he's done a number of subtle things to undermine the second amendment (Supreme Court nominations, Fast and Furious/Holder, tracking sales in boarder states) he has not openly attacked it like many thought he would. In fact he passed up an obvious opportunity during the Arizona shooting last year and instead make a plea for bipartisanship. <Really less an accomplishment and more a pleasant surprise>

The market has been solidly above $13k for months now. Obama's accomplishment? Of course not, but many will give him credit. He sure as hell would have been blamed if it was still under $10k.

The pull out of Iraq seemed to be handled well. I honestly don't comprehend the subtleties here, though. What do ya'll think?

Only things I can think of offhand that have happened during his term:
-expansion of domestic energy production
-repeal of don't ask, don't tell
-Bin Laden
-Health Care Reform (getting it passed was an accomplishment, regardless of my opinion of it)

Here's a list if you actually care. It is bias as hell but it's what you'd get from an Obama supporter: http://obamaachievements.org/list

Failed policies, 5 trillion dollars added to the debt, unemployment at the worst since Carter, and a failed health care reform which will be overturned 100% in about another month.

But hey, the real hero's killed Bin Laden while he happened to be President. Guess that's something to run on, you know, "not spiking the football."

He also signed the bill to allow carry in national parks. Not his idea I'm sure but it definitely seems like he's a lot more friendly to guns than people expected.

He singlehandedly took away black people's ability to claim that they are an oppressed minority.

I was really expecting to open this thread and see a completely blank OP.That would have been appropriate.

-expansion of domestic energy production -- debatable. he's killing off nuclear and coal energy, he's causing energy to be more expensive, all his alternative energy investments have been failures. Not something I'd want to be proud of.

-repeal of don't ask, don't tell -- now if he could only close Gitmo...

-Bin Laden -- this had nothing to do with president Obama

-Health Care Reform -- I'll give him this. Not that I agree with it, but it's the only thing that has happened on his watch...but it again, wasn't really his doing...he just signed the bill.

He could have refused the kill when we had the opportunity like Clinton did.
