Fast and Furious Star Paul Walker Reported Dead in Car Crash

Tasteless jokes aside, if this isn't some kind of hoax, it's a tough thing to hear. For all the damage that the F&F franchise did to so many beautiful cars, it also got many, many people into a scene they never would've found otherwise.

A sad day, indeed.

That really suck because he was a real car guy. So his souped up Porsche caught fire when he lost control and hit a tree?

Not trying to be an *** or anything. But that just goes to show how quickly it can all end. Just have to hope they didn't suffer by being burned to death and were killed by the impact and or unconscious.

Shitty news. And he wasn't even driving, he went out as a passenger. They must have really been hauling *** to crumple that car up like that. Hopefully they died on impact or were unconscious when they fire broke out.

There is hardly anything left of that car...It is especially sad as Walker (and the passenger as the article said) was a car enthusiast (beyond the F&F stuff).

of course, leave it to reddit to throw a wrench in this. "We" don't know who was driving exactly.

If they can incorporate this deadly crash into FF7 they could troll so many people.

Damn. That's crazy. Looks like they were going fast. Without knowing what actually happened, I'm glad no one else was taken down with them, especially if they were being reckless.

Gotta say this bummed me out. We all know his acting was lame, but at the same time I'm sure everyone loved the F&F movies - if even for some corny laughs. This goes to show you how quickly it can all end, for any of us.

The carrera GT was his "shop" car, does anyone know what was done to it? I mean a stock one is enough of a deathtrap, I haven't heard if this one had a turbo setup or something.

I was surprised too. Sure the F&F series wasn't exactly comparable to the shawshank redemption but they were entertaining as hell. I've read he was a generally good person too, involved in charities etc.

The thing that irks me is that the driver was apparently a race car driver and most pictures of him are in a porsche motorsport suit. Surely you'd understand not to do 120mph in a public street, especially in a car like the GT.
