You mean like tax exempt Media Matters? Has anyone checked lately on "Reverend" Jesse Jackson's tax exempt status?

Because only 49% of their time is spent on politics?

I think the whole thing is an example of shenanigans. Why any of those groups - left, right or upside down - are tax exempt is weird to me.

However, I am pretty confident that the groups in question are 501(c)(4) and donations are not tax deductible.

The can of worms, it has been opened:

Terrance Brown, 40, is on trial in South Florida for allegedly conspiring with four other men to hijack armored trucks delivering cash to banks in 2010. All have pleaded not guilty. But now Brown has come up with a unique defense: he wants the National Security Agency to turn over his phone records to the court to demonstrate his innocence.

If they don't want to give the records to him they will find one reason or another that they don't need to do so. They will probably just claim they don't have them which may be entirely true. Never the less, this is epic.

The Constitutional liberties really are just recommendations after all. All that nonsense regarding individual rights is the Founder's version of TV hype, and certainly NOT what we'll be passing on to our kids.

They are not. Donations to them are not tax deductible and the only thing they gain is the fact that they are not taxed on the donations they receive as being "income"

Just like a 501c7 social club.

The monies they receive as donations have already been taxed once to the donor when he/she received the income.

California is mandated to spend over half of its state income tax revenue on education--plus the lottery money revenue--and our public schools are crap. Funny thing, I pay into the "system" and then get to pay for my kids private education.

I'll be paying into California education all my working life. Wouldn't it be nice if I could get a voucher--just for when my kids are school age--so I can spend education dollars where I choose?

One hint...education is not about money.

Default evil and stupid

"It’s true, we have a two-party system in America: The Evil Party, and the Stupid Party. And every once and a while the Evil Party and the Stupid Party get together to pass something really evil and stupid. That’s called “bipartisanship.”

Unhappy

I broke my normal tenet of not watching videos during the day. I regret it.

Brutal Home Invasion Caught on Nanny Cam

I intentionally make an effort to shelter myself from gore and excessive real-world violence so this was easily the most disturbing thing I have seen in a long time. Note the object on the couch through out. :(
