In fairness, how many highways in the world are not subsidized by tax dollars? City streets? Bus lines? Subways/metros?
I'm not sure the fact that it is subsidized by tax dollars is enough of a criticism. Now, if it's a shitty project with inflated costs due to corruption, that's a fair criticism.

The fares collected for all but one line in Japan and one line in France, are subsidized with other tax payer dollars.

Did you watch the entire thing? This wasn't just abuse of power, they were torturing him and nearly beating him to death both on the ground, in the back of the cop car and at the hospital. I've been on the internet for a long time. Seen some ****. But, this was the first time I ever really felt bad for someone. Hearing him crying in the back of the cop car being beaten was almost too much for me this morning.
Then the charges of "aggravated assault" against him because the cop broke his hand beating him in the face when he was restrained in a hospital bed. The list goes on. That video is unreal.

huh... makes me hate police that much more... i know there are bad cops everywhere.... they are usually just bullies that wanted to bully people legally, so they became cops. not in ALL cases... but in a lot of cases...
and that was here in PA... thats insane.... really reassuring...

they really do think they are above the law... and they kindof are... i mean, they ARE the law... and who is the judge gonna believe, you? or the cop?
small and irrelevant example... driving to work today on HWY 51... speed limit was 50 where i was... cop seriously passed me up going AT LEAST 80. no lights, no sirens..... maybe the donut show was running out of the jellys or something...
