I bet they wouldn't protest if Columbia University hosted Ahmadinejad again, where he laughed about his poor treat of women, denied the Holocaust (seems to be a theme), a basically blame our own gov't for 9/11.

Yes, the EPA has such a great record on keeping water pure. Keep telling that to anyone near the Animas River.

Riot Forces Cancellation Of Yiannopoulos Talk At UC Berkeley « CBS San Francisco

Protesters armed with bricks and fireworks mounted an assault on the building hosting a speech by polarizing Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos Wednesday night, forcing the event’s cancellation.

Several injuries have been reported and at least four banks have been vandalized after demonstrators marched away from the scene of a violent protest at the canceled speaking event by controversial far-right writer and speaker Yiannopoulos on the University of California at Berkeley campus.
peaceful. i heard after the "protest" they all had unprotected sex, then had abortions, and went to the hospital to have their AIDS treatments covered under Obamacare.

My father was a doctor, and my mother is a nurse. (Well, now she's some high-falutin' Director of Being the Corporate Overlord with a managed care company, but she *was* a nurse when I was a kid.)

There was a Pain Management clinic in town, run by a local physician by the name of Dr. Harold Hollinger. He was known within the local medical community as Happy Harry.
Free tip to the DEA your local community has a drug problem:

1. There's a business advertised as a Pain Management Clinic
2. The owner is known locally as Happy Harry

Anarchists protesting Milo. Not sure why anyone is surprised that there was violence.
Try to keep the groups separate, frankly it's not that hard.

I don't like Milo. I frankly think that he's an arrogant ***** and an idiot, but so it goes.

That said, I think he should have the right to give a talk. The university has no obligation to host him. I'd prefer to see those that disagree with him drown him out by proving him wrong.

Asking anarchists and the black bloc to respect any of the above is an interesting idea.

One disaster you can think of offhand. How many industrial disasters have there been that were completely covered up while leading to toxic chemicals entering waterbeds etc?

Someone rage posted this in response to a FB comment about Flint. In all actuality I was blasting a meme for incorrect information and he misinterpreted what I said.

I'm just sharing it because it may contain new info and I'd like to hear a rebuttal or comments.

As a matter of fact, the project is completed already. They need to finish flushing the system now to get all the contamination out of the lines from the repairs to the homes. So, I happen to get just a little bit furious when people with no facts, with no information, and no experience with this particular project or its timeline and funding start posting bullshit meme's like these. Because it shows willful ignorance.

Allow me to spend 90 seconds on Google, and present the following:

December 2016:
Congress approves at least $120M for Flint water fix

August 2016:
State testing in August shows less lead in Flint water

Two days ago:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yah...ndroid-verizon

That was 90 ******* seconds. 90. *******. Seconds.

I don't mind if you're pissed about Flint's water ****. But be educated before you open your mouth. Democrats in the city government made the decision to make the switch in the first place so they could rid themselves of the "EVIL REPUBLICAN" emergency financial manager and state oversight. They fucked up. The Republicans totally dropped the ball on oversight of the city operations and oversight of the water situation. The EPA was paid off by city officials to cover it all up. The governor's office dropped the ball because the emergency financial manager didn't report any of this, because he was incompetent. The governor's office therefore was incompetent too, because they had direct oversight.

And this **** started being repaired the day after the story broke, and THOUSANDS of contractors have been working around the clock at a lightning pace to pull this **** off in complete record time, under budget.

Think and research before you post. Because when you don't, no one will take you seriously anymore. Because no one likes someone who just flat out WILL NOT stop crying wolf.

And when the wolf ACTUALLY shows up, no one pays attention anymore.

I'm sure you know this is a loaded statement, but for the rest of the forum who might not be familiar with the history of the four corners area I'll try to provide the backstory.
After the gold rush there was a large push to find anything worth mining in the rockies. There were numerous bores cut with blatant disregard for what was coming out of the earth. A lot of that had to do with a basic misunderstanding of toxicity and the drive to succeed in the pursuit of vast wealth.

The Gold king mine spill is a sh#tty situation. The bore was cut, very little of value was pulled out, and the miners left their sh#t show for later generations to clean up. In comes the EPA and a heavy handed excavator with orders to evaluate just how bad things were just beneath the bore plug.... and bam... the Gold king mine spill. It is kind of funny for anyone who skis at Silverton, because its obvious that heavy metals have been leaching out of the mine for decades now. Soooo do we blame the EPA? or maybe the short sighted miners? or maybe the earth for having bad stuff in it? I guess it depends on what gang color you associate with.
(Full disclosure: My family homesteaded in the Durango-Silverton area in the early 1800s and could very well have been involved in these unscrupulous activities :P)

This is interesting and well-written.

Unfortunately, your analysis, while completely true, doesn't satisfy the basic human urge to affix sole and complete blame to a single person or individual who can then be vilified and held up as a symbol. Instead, is distributes blame across a number of parties, not all of whom, of course, can be conveniently crucified.

And the links you posted threaten to take away the victim status which so many people cling to as their sole identity. If they're not being persecuted and victimized, then who are they?

Googled antifa. Looks like jackbooted thugs. I guess the best way to not have people call you **** thug is to accuse them of being a **** first, which seems to be their M.O.

The pictures that popped up with that name are pretty disturbing to a freedom loving fellow like myself.
