Everyone knows he golfs although from the plastic covering the press room windows at the Mir-A-Lago I guess he sucks at it or doesn't like his picture taken... and I doubt he'd ever actually own a dog. Maybe the camera clicks upset his swing.

They're now saying that the incident above was made up. Also, and I'm asking because I don't know this, does groping constitute rape in Germany?

All German women are hot. Even the ugly ones. (For the purposes of this generalization, Austrian women are also German.)

For you Johnny Carson fans...

Quote:
Riddler Express

Last week, Raymond Smullyan, a mathematician and giant in the logic puzzle world, died at age 97. In his honor, hereís a puzzle adapted from his appearance on Johnny Carsonís show in 1982, in the good old days when late-night talk shows featured Riddler-esque puzzles:

The Puzzle:

In a legislature, there are 100 politicians. Each is either honest or crooked; some of the legislature is honest, and some of it is crooked. However, if you choose any two politicians at random, at least one is crooked. How many honest politicians are there?

Fast forward to the end if you really need Johnny to answer it for you.

That's easy. There is one honest politician.

If there were more then one, than the probability of a non-crooked random selection of two would be > 0, which is the same as saying that the probability of drawing a selection in which at least one is crooked is < 1, because if there were two (or more) honest politicians, then you might draw those two together at random, and this draw is stated to be impossible.

Shameless promotion: You can watch Johnny Carson in the original Tonight Show, every night at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT, on your local AntennaTV affiliate (which is usually the x.2 or x.3 sub-channel of your local Tribune Media-owned broadcast station.)

I lived there for a couple of years and don't agree that they are all hot. But hotness is subjective.

Enjoy your warm Merkel:

I read in today's paper that yesterday was "a day without immigrants".

I didn't notice.

I didn't notice outside of facebook land too.

That might have something to do with the fact that I was hiding in my library carrel all day though....

I was mostly confused by trying to figure out if they meant Immigrants or Illegal Immigrants, people seem to be offended by making the distinction.

I think I did notice that the traffic was slightly less? That was nice.

It's interesting you mention that. Up in my neck of the woods (Wrigleyville / Lake View), traffic seemed abnormally bad last night. Folks stopping in the middle of the street for no apparent reason, people doing a really shitty job of parallel-parking, lots of horn-blowing, lots of people trying to pass on the right (where cars are parallel-parked) and/or trying to lane-jump coming off a stoplight...

No idea if the two are related, but I definitely noticed it.

Seemed like all the 7-11 were owned by Iraqis when I lived in Oakland County. Still?

The student Left?s culture of intolerance is creating a new generation of conservatives

Quote:
By analysing the censorious policies and actions that have taken place on British campuses, Spiked concluded that 63.5 per cent of universities actively censor speech and 30.5 per cent stifle speech through excessive regulation. You can barely go a few days without encountering a new op-ed covering censorship on campus.

...

In the space of fifty years, Berkeley students have gone from rioting against a university administration that limited their freedom of speech to violently opposing the presence of a speaker they disagree with.

In the modern era, students have often been attracted to the politics of the Left. 1968 saw pivotal student protests around the world. In the United States, students were central to the civil rights movement. In France, students joined forces with millions of striking workers to protest against capitalism.

The conservative philosopher Roger Scruton was in Paris during the 1968 riots and has said that it was whilst witnessing the uprising that he became a conservative.

The violence at Berkeley mirrors the street protests in Paris from 1968. Privileged and excitable students living in one of the most blessed parts of the world went out and created havoc in order to overthrow an opponent that they refused to tolerate. The Parisians, at least, had a deeper political cause – but the Berkeley students carried out the ugliest form of protest. It is the form of protest that says “I don’t like that view, therefore you must not be allowed to express it” and it is causing a lot of students to have their own ‘Scruton moment’.

There have been several responses to campus censorship in the United Kingdom and the United States. One of the most interesting developments has been the rise in demand for conservative thought. In the United States, college tours by speakers popular with conservatives such as Milo Yiannopoulos, Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro and Christina Hoff Sommers have become huge events. There has been a spike in membership in conservative college clubs including Young Americans for Liberty, which boasts 804 chapters filled with 308,927 members.
