If anybody wants to read the full report, here it is: https://www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf

I've skimmed it briefly, and am amused by the fact that this is probably the first official report into an investigation of the President and his associates which exhaustively cites Facebook and Twitter as primary sources.

Pardon my ignorance...but to be exonerated, you would need to be proven guilty first (with evidence, trial, etc.), correct? There's no exoneration without prior guilt...? So why is everyone fullblowing the whole "it doesn't say he's exonerated!!!" bit?

Your question seems to presuppose that people mindlessly re-blogging things which they do not understand, and exhibiting a careless disregard for the English language, is literally* a unique phenomenon.

Of course, one might also observe that the President had already been tried and convicted in the Court of Public Opinion, so perhaps exoneration is appropriate in that context.

A bit of digging suggests that the word "exonerate" can be used to indicate clearing from accusation, not merely conviction.

But then at that point... they're pretty much saying... "He still hasn't cleared his name from being accused of doing something worthy of impeachment. Therefore we must impeach." #accusationisallthatisneeded

To impeach, you must have a specific criminal offense with which to charge. Specifically, "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors" according to the US constitution.

Collaborating with a foreign government in order to alter the outcome of a US election would definitely fall into that container, but if a two year FBI investigation has failed to produce any substantive evidence of the President himself (not his agents) participating in such behavior, it's difficult to imagine that a Senate hearing would produce much else, especially given the present Republican majority.

If the democrats want Trump out of the White House, they're going to have to do it the old fashioned way: at the voting booth. It will be interesting to see who winds up floating to the top of the primary.

Indeed. It'd be nice to get voter ID enacted - that along with getting rid of absentee balloting. Seems like the amount of resources to make sure that's happening "correctly" in its current iteration isn't enough. Come to the polling booth.

We hate those tyrannical snowplows down here in South Florida. My parents tell me the ones in Cuba were even worse.

I'd prefer, citizen or not, that you must show some basic competency and understanding of the Constitution and fiscal and social policy and their effects on the nation.

try not to laugh:

Facebook Post

“You know who else was concerned about leaks? Richard Nixon.”
— CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin, explaining that President Trump’s concern about leaks could be considered evidence of his criminal intent to obstruct justice, since Richard Nixon was also concerned about leaks.

I came across this earlier while searching for Grammar Kitten. It's not relevant to the Mueller probe or anything else of current significance, it's just a random political photo which I found amusing.
