Default Don't miss kickoff - Watch Obama's speech in 2 minutes.

Yep, more of the same rhetoric and promotion of government solutions we’ve been hearing for the last 3 years.

Go Green Bay.

BTW. gotta love how he plans to spend an additional $450 billion with the "required" "1.5 trillion" in "savings" that the Debt Comission was tasked to "deal with"...

Breakdown of Obama's "fully paid" unpassable plan:

If you were curious how he was going to pay:

Tax increases will be as follows: (86% limit of itemized deductions, 4% hedge fund managers, 8.6% oil & gas, 0.6% Corp Jets)

Code:
                                                        Per Year (Beg Jan 2013)
1) Itemized Deductions (ie $250k or higher income) $40.0 bn
2) Hedge Fund managers $ 1.8 bn
3) Oil & Gas Industry $ 4.0 bn
4) Corp Jet Depreciation $ 300 mm

“I’ll put it this way. You don’t deserve to keep all of it and it’s not a question of deserving because what government is, is those things that we decide to do together. And there are many things that we decide to do together like have our national security. Like have police and fire. What about the people that work at the National Institute of Health who are looking for a cure for cancer,” Congresswoman Schakowsky said.

So... they raise taxes on oil and gas companies? That's a good idea. They will never pass increased costs on to their consumers. They will just make lower margins. Right.

Why, again, did we elect a genius to run the country? Oh, yeah, because he was younger, hipper, and blacker. ******* morons. Most of them would still vote for his punk *** again, too. Why again do we let people who don't pay taxes vote?

The majority of the voters got what they deserved. The rest of us got worse than we deserved.

In response to the bill:

“We can see our handprint all over this proposal. We’re pleased about it and wish it had been even bigger, but it’s substantial and it targets the communities in need….”
- Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), President Congressional Black Caucus
keep in mind this $475 billion dollar bill simply increases unemployement benefits, and helps save some teachers and public workers...I wonder who the majority of these workers are represented by... hint see above.

She is also quoted to say this
“…We have been fighting to get the banks and financial institutions to do loan modifications….They didn’t want bankruptcy, they don’t want to reduce the principle, it’s time for the bully pulpit of the White House to bring the gangsters in, put them around the table and let them know that if they don’t come up with loan modifications to keep people in their homes…we’re going to tax them out of business! [Loud audience applause] We need money….One of the things that we’re going for is a national housing trust fund to build more housing and rental units….”
BTW: Wiener's seat went to a republican...first time in that district since 1923.

Also keep in mind: The President's proposal to tax 40% of all the tax deductible contributions will essentially penalize soup kitchens, hospitals, and churches that provide essential services to those who need them most.

Those services compete with the gov't. Looks like Maxine was right about taxing them out of business.

Right now!

well, here we are on the next monday after that next monday and we've just learned from the no. 2 democrat in the senate, dick durbin, that actually it seems that body won't really be seriously getting into the legislation for a while yet. The senate has some other more important business to handle. And then there's this month's congressional vacation, which in washington is called "a recess," like elementary school.

Here's the revealing exchange with a persistent host candy crowley on cnn's "state of the union:"
crowley: When is the bill going to get on the floor?

Durbin: The bill is on the calendar. Majority leader reid moved it to the calendar. It is ready and poised. There are a couple other items we may get into this week not on the bill and some related issues that may create jobs. But we're going to move forward on the president's bill. There will be a healthy debate. I hope the republicans will come to...

Crowley: After the recess, so next month? Or when will it actually begin to act on?

Durbin: I think that's more realistic it would be next month.
So, as of right now, "right now" uttered on sept. 8 really means sometime at least one month later.

Good thing the president's own democratic party controls the senate. Because, otherwise, there might be some kind of silly, unnecessary delays in deliberating obama's urgent jobs bill that he says will surely help the nation's unemployed millions if only those republicans don't connive to slow things down.
Everytime I hear him mentioning Warren Buffet I want to slap his doucheface.

The bulk of the American people have very short memories.

If the Democrats can stretch everything out(like the budget for the past two years), they can blame everything on the Republicans and/or the Tea Party and a majority of the citizens will believe without checking.

Aided, of course, by the media the truth will be lost.

EDIT: Oh wait, that's what Braineack said.

But Warren Buffet actively makes sure he pays less taxes and doing so he pays less than his secretary!!!! He's a great guy for pointing this out of 40 years of doing it.

WE GOTTA FIX THAT LOOPHOLE!!! We gotta spend more money we dont have.
