Seizing Skylines
Thought you guys might enjoy this article. Craziness, I swear someone is going to get shot over this.

the feds WOULD NOT get that car if it was me. I'd cut in in half before i let them flatbed my baby away.
|
You know, if they gave the cars registrations and let them be titled...it is a bit out of their bounds to go "ooops, sorry, we are now taking your car because some agency 5 years ago dropped the ball"
|
Couldn't it be as simple as pulling the plate off of it? I know they're legal for off road use.
|
i wonder if Japtrix is hiding their skyline in a bunker right now...
|
I would hide mine too. Just out of principal. That is some commie shit. I understand the, seizing them when they come in. But if they are tagged legally and deemed safe by our people, the here legally.

Law enforcement agencies love this shit. They pick a random, obscure law, then enforce it. These guys literally have nothing better to do with their time considering an obscene amount were hired under the Republican White House, and now Hussein decided not to enforce anything with ICE because it might cost him votes from brown people, so these guys have nothing better to do with their time than harass you and I.
You, I, and every car enthusiest in this country should be afraid of a nationwide push from environmental authoritarians who push for bill that emissions test old cars (like our Miatas) against modern standards of electric toasters on wheels. I suspect that one day the EPA/NHTSA will come looking for our cars too. |
I see a ban on aftermarket parts more likely, instantly cops have a reason to search your car and invade your privacy just because your muffler looks funny.
They already pull that in maryland, had my 323 searched a few times for "tampering with emissions equipment" |
Actually, just about every year California puts a state bill to a vote to change emissions testing on old vehicles and or scratching registration on old cars with a mileage stipulation.
|
Gotta love the Department of Homeland Security.....letting terrorists onto planes, people steal your shit in the airport...but we'll fucking hunt down a few dozen Nissan Skylines! While pieces of shit those people are...even the worthless field fucks that are sent to collect the cars.
|
I wonder what costs the American tax payer more money and more security, Japanese Skylines or illegal aliens using social services?
|
If they put this much time, money and effort into finding and deporting illegal aliens, I would be happy.

I would roll it out in the driveway and light it on fire before they took it. Or completely disassemble it and they can take the frame all other parts would be gone.

DHS is dealing with pedobear now... lol
|
Light it on fire with the DHS agents inside.
(I know this sounds "immature", but seriously...think about all the effort going into one frigging car that one person has worked so hard to get...then think of all the illegals that come here, get away with murder and are handed money on a silver platter. DHS is a joke that was contructed to hush the Ameican people after 911 but was really setup to waste money and resources.) |
hell yea or wait until its on their truck then let it burn lol.
|
As soon as any car except "electric toasters on wheels" become illegal, I am moving to Canada.
|
Honestly, I am with you, I think just taking every damn part off of it and giving them the frame would be best. Then you can get mad McGruber and weld your skyline onto some poor unsuspecting 240. Win. I honestly think this is a huge waste of government money. The department of homeland security is a useless organization that needs to be disbanded, along with the TSA. Glad to see our national debt is being put into good use.

There is a term for this.
TYRANNY VIA ADMINISTRATIVE LAW. I know someone who got a "you gotta take it to a referee" ticket for a CARB-LEGAL s/c kit for his Focus, just because the cop didn't believe him that it was all legit. It passed, but he still had to pay the $600 fee. A bureaucracy decides you are guilty, until you prove your innocence, AT YOUR EXPENSE. The IRS for example, operates this way. This is the thing that erodes the freedom of the average schmoe the most in this country. Not the Patriot Act (though I hate it), not the "free speech zones". |
So if they deported illegal aliens using impounded contraband skylines, would you guys be cool with it?

The "illegals issue" pales in comparison to the coming DEBT BOMB.
Re: Skylines - the discussion should be more fundamental than "legalize skylines and some other cars"; it should be more like "what is the legitimate purpose of government?" |
Joke failed this time :(

STATISTS believe that the gov't should rule over the individual. Socialists are a type of statist, that believes in re-distribution of wealth. The question then is, where does the legitimacy of gov't come from? Fundamentally, statists believe that the gov't knows better than the rest of us. Social Democrats believe that the legitimacy comes from popular vote (e.g. 51% of the population think the speed limits should be 65 mph). Statists can fully support one law, and be enraged by another. They all want the laws to "be a certain way", instead of "leave everyone the fuck alone". Statists all want to impose their will on others. mcarp22, the joke was pretty funny, but my post is in reference to the link wherein the Skyline guy refers to the "illegals" issue. |
I have been saying it for a good amount of time that there is going to be another revaluation in this country. The more years that pass the more it seams that it will be a reality one day.
|
I hope the revaluation/revolution will be at the ballot box.
The Fed Gov WILL go insolvent - it's a question of when and how. The debt + unfunded liabilities for the next 30 years, per taxpayer, is > $1 Million each. Unpayable. The only way out is insolvency and default. I hope that the end result is de-centralization of power and invocation of the 10th Amendment. |
