Guy gives his dog away after she chews a HOLE in his Aston Martin
I can't say I'd give my dog away (I'm a cat man myself) but this wouldn't be too exciting to come home to.
Quote from article:
"A car fanatic gave his pet dog away after he was left distraught when she chewed a hole through the wheel arch of his prized £80,000 Aston Martin.
Builder Royston Grimstead, 42, was devastated when he came home to find his border collie spaniel cross Luce had chewed through the fibreglass panel of his luxury car - causing £3,000 of damage.
Mr Grimstead, from Chedzoy, Somerset, said he had already been considering re-homing the dog, which he said did not get along with his other dog, but the damage to the car was the final straw."

And I think this guy (s2000) had a similar thing happen not too long ago if I recall...

My dog chewed the corner of my hardtop that was painted for like 1 week. She was like 3 months old at the time. I had it setting on my garage floor while I was cleaning my car out. Ever since that traumatic day for her, she is now the best behaved dog I ever had.

Yep. My dog won't chew a thing unless I give it to her and she knows it is okay to shred. However, once she know its okay to shred it's game on. Only thing I've found she can't destroy in seconds is racquet *****. She crushes them til they pop in about 2min. Have to get the nice ones or it's instantly. I have litteraly left the house with baconon the coffee table and she wont touch it. Left her all day withnew born kittens no issues. Oddly doesn't like kids. They jump in her face and that will set her off. Never understood parents that let their kids chase and lung at dogs and then blame the dog. Used to foster and that was fun, if you don't like your stuff. Always takes a bit to get the unruly ones broken off some bad habits.

That just seems like a really random place to start chewing. Sure, once she started it probably made some satisfying crunchy noises, but what prompted her to start there? I have never owned a dog, so I don't understand how they think yet.

Mine doesn't have a chewing problem, but can dig a hole big enough to bury a V8 engine block with a spare tire in one day. She's always been a digger. She has completely excavated underneath the nice big wooden doghouse my father built for her. She sleeps under it a lot. Or under the boat where it is nice and cool.
You have to be careful walking across that part of the yard that you don't break an ankle. It looks like an infantry platoon may have dug in for the evening last night. Or the surface of the moon.
She is a really sweet dog and that little fenced off section of yard where she lives is her domain to enjoy. I shovel the holes in occasionally and level it out some but it never lasts.

Mine plays with the cats.
The hole in her side is from a burn. She got slow roasted at the vet's durign a tooth extraction. Pad was set too high, no real hair to keep her insulated, and a long time down to get a big tooth out added up to a nasty burn. Lost everything the size of my palm down to the last layer. One of the grossest things I've dealt with, including motorcycle accidents. FYI the vet coverered all med bills relating to this and has a shiney new digital temp controlled heating pad so this will never happen again. Even offered a free skin graft to help with the look. We just tell people she jumped in front of a bullet to save some kittens
Also she snaps these in half. Partially why she doesn't get them anymore cause of the extraction incident
