the police report I linked notes zimmerman was bleeding from his nose and the back of his head when the officer arrived. It also notes he overheard zimmerman telling the emt team that he was yelling for help but no one came to his rescue.
It was Zimmerman's father and/or brother that reported the broken nose the next day. And then the media over the next few weeks that just leaked tons of trash and half-truths that blaen accepts as gospel.

Sadly, no matter what happened, it's extremely likely that Zimmerman has nothing happen to him.
/End of thread? Who knows. But it's extremely unlikely that Zimmerman will lose the protection of the stand your ground law considering some of the outrageous past precedent.

When the 911 operator told him to stop, he stopped. In fact, at one point, it seems that Zimmerman opted not to give the 911 operator his home address because he was concerned Martin was lurking in the shadows or darkness somewhere and might overhear it.
My understanding is that it is after Zimmerman appears to stop any pursuit and is waiting for the police to arrive that the alleged altercation happens.
While nuanced, I think that is distinctly different from the scenario being painted by many media outlets in which Zimmerman is supposed to have chased down and caught Martin.
All that said, I would agree that the "Stand Your Ground Law" is imperfect - but possibly less so than the "Duty to Retreat" laws that prosecute victims of violent crime. It would be curious but almost impossible to compare the two results.

The leadership representing the family of Travon Martin, as well as the black people from media seemed to have already fallen for a major and consequential TRICK. They have been induced into focusing their attention on whether or not there was a fight between Travon and that JEW and whether that JEW was injured or not. This is a big mistake. The fact is, even if there was a fight, which it probably was, this would convey the STAND YOUR GROUND protection to Travon. He was the one being stalked by a stranger in the dark. He was the one confronted by a stranger in the dark. Remember, this law as written gives the right to any citizen to defend themselves from anyone who is attacking or threatening them with harm. The law does not allow for the departure of a safe area, only to go and STALK or CHASE after someone. The 911 recording makes it abundantly clear that Jew STALKED, PURSUED and ultimately CORNERED Travon. Question, WHY won’t these representatives refer to ZIMMERMAN,ZIMMERMAN,ZIMMERMAN as the JEW HE IS?

That brings me to another subject...
Has there been any reasonable discussion in this case about the glorification of a lifestyle, attitude and style of dress that is inspired by prison culture and criminals? Or is that too much "blaming the victim?"

I should also note that Spike Lee decided to tweet a random Zimmerman family name address, an incorrect one. Then, a bunch of uruly bastards went to that address and harassed the family to the extent they had to run away for safety.
Where the hell is law enforcement? Where are all the god damned tanks DHS buys for local law enforcement again?
